移動し得るよう構成したことを特徴とするバーチカルエ
ッジャーの押えロールシフト装置にかかるものである。

う2組の上下押えロール6,7を配置する。各上押えロー
ル6には、板厚に対応して押えロール6,7間隔を調整し
得るよう圧下シリンダ8を接続し、該圧下シリンダ8の
伸縮動によりガイド9を介して上押えロール6を昇降可
能に構成し、且つ前記ガイド9を夫々上ハウジング1に
設置したシフトシリンダ10に接続して、該シフトシリン
ダ10の伸縮動により上押えロール6を板幅方向に移動し
得るようにし、又下押えロール7にも、下ハウジング2
に設置したシフトシリンダ11を接続して、同様に板幅方
向に移動し得るようにする。尚、上下押えロール6,7
共、板幅方向の移動ガイド(図示せず)に係合せしめて
ある。

くとることができ、板幅精度向上のためのロール開度設
定の自由度が広がる。つまり板材の先・尾端部の非定常
部(先・尾端部から数m)はエッジャー及びミルでの圧
延における塑性流動が定常部(中央部)と異なり特異な
形状(バチ形、先端先細り)を防止するための補正幅圧
下等のために強幅圧下を可能にする事が出きる。
