On the other hand, a malodorous substance generated from a wash water circulation type toilet used in a train, a bus, an aircraft, a ship, etc. is composed mainly of a sulfur compound such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia. These are generated from human waste in circulating water, and some are contained in human waste at the time of excretion, and some are generated by putrefaction decomposition of human waste after being excreted by microorganisms such as bacteria. There are many.

As a deodorizing method for these malodors, the masking method has an insufficient masking effect when a large amount of malodor is generated,
The mixed odor with a fragrance may give an unpleasant feeling.
In the chemical deodorization method, it is necessary to use a chemical deodorant in accordance with the retention time of night soil in circulating water, and when long night soil is retained, a large amount of deodorant is required. The physical deodorization method requires the installation of adsorption equipment, and the fragrance for the purpose of masking is also adsorbed and removed, so that it cannot be used in combination with a fragrance. In the biological deodorization method, it takes a long time to deodorize, and it is almost ineffective when the temperature is low. Therefore, it is not easy to adopt these methods as the deodorizing method for the circulation type toilet.

To deodorize the toilets of JR companies that use circulating toilets, a treatment agent containing trichloroisocyanuric acid as the main ingredient has been used in the past, but the use of a formulation containing trichloroisocyanuric acid as the main ingredient Since the coloring agent cannot be used, the wash water colored with night soil circulates, which causes the user discomfort.

From the above, each JR company has stopped using a treatment agent containing trichloroisocyanuric acid as a main ingredient and has switched to a treatment agent containing an antibacterial agent as a main ingredient.
A formulation containing -bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol was proposed (see Japanese Patent Application No. 63-308860 and Japanese Patent Application No. 63-324153) and supplied to each JR company. ing. Formulations based on antibacterial agents have excellent deodorizing effects,
