(Means for Solving the Problems) The structure of the present invention for achieving this object is such that, in a base portion formed in a substantially rectangular shape, one opposing piece has an interval for passing a flat conductor cable therebetween. And a pair of side walls are erected on the other side, and the other opposing piece is erected in a direction opposite to the erection direction of the side wall, and the tip end side can receive the lead wire in a state of being electrically connected. A terminal fitting provided with a pair of arm portions formed by cutting out slots, wherein the base portion is cut and raised in a claw shape to receive the flat conductor cable at the cut and raised edges. While the claw edge is formed, the tip of the side wall portion is formed in a sharp shape, and when each is bent inward to crimp the flat conductor cable, a flat conductor cable is formed between the claw edge and the claw edge. Hold the cable to cover it It is characterized in that the electrical connection possible configurations of a cable break through.

(Operation) According to the above configuration, the coated lead wire is attached in a state in which the coating is broken by being press-fitted into the slot of the arm portion. Further, the flat conductor cable is passed between both side wall portions along the base portion, and then both arms are bent inward to be caulked. In this case, since the flat conductor cable is sandwiched by the claw edge and the sharp portion at the tip of the side wall portion, the cooperation of these causes the flat conductor to break the coating and be electrically and mechanically connected.

Further, the base portion 2 is formed with two pairs of claw edges 13 for receiving the flat conductor cable 8 when the flat conductor cable 8 is crimped. Each claw edge 13 is cut and raised in the standing direction of the side wall portions 4 and 4 ', and the paired ones are arranged so as to face each other. Further, each claw edge 13 is cut and raised at a predetermined angle so that each tip edge 13a is in line contact with the flat conductor cable 8.

When the terminal metal fitting body 1 is attached to the flat conductor cable 8, the flat conductor cable 8 is first passed along the base portion 2 between the side wall portions 4 and 4 '. After that, the side wall portions 4 and 4'are bent inward, and the cable 8 is caulked at the tips of the side wall portions 4 and 4 '. At this time, the cable is attached to each claw edge 13
The front edge 13a and the side wall tip 3 are both caulked in line contact on both the front and back surfaces thereof. Therefore, the coating of the cable 8 can be broken relatively easily to obtain the electrical contact state between the side wall portions 4, 4'and the inner conductor 9 (state shown in FIG. 2). In this case, if the tip edge of the claw edge is sharp, the coating of the cable may be broken from both the front and back sides, as shown in Fig. 2, and if this is done, the number of electrical contact points will increase. A more reliable conduction state can be obtained.

(Effects) The effects of the present invention are as follows. Since the flat conductor cable is sandwiched by the cooperation of the claw edge and the tip of the side wall so as to break through the coating, electrical and mechanical connection between the terminal fitting and the cable can be easily performed. Further, when changing the circuit configuration, it is possible to realize it by simply press-fitting the lead wire into the slot.
