Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the solid attachment of a condensed wax attached rotary to brushes by rotating the rotary brushes while injecting a fresh water to the rotary brashes so as to wash out a water wax attached to the rotary brushes, after the rotary brushes are separated from the car body surface in a polishing process, and before the drying process. CONSTITUTION:When a polishing process and a rinsing process are finished, the upper side and both sides rotary brushes 4, 5, and 5 are rotated continuously while a planer-type running frame 1 is stopped at the right end position. And only a fresh water is injected to the rotary brushes 4, 5, and 5 from the injection pipes 37, 40, and 41 of a rense device R and a water wax application device W2, and at the same time, a fresh water is injected to the brushes also from the injection pipes 49 and 50 of a cleanser application device C. As a result, the water wax component attached to the brushes can be washed out instantly from the rotary brushes 4, 5, and 5 by injecting a fresh water. After such an injection is continued for about 10sec. the injection is stopped, and the rotation of the rotary brushes 4, 5, and 5 is stopped.

In the above-mentioned conventional method, the rotary brush is not particularly washed even after the polishing step is completed, even though the rotary brush is commonly used in the brushing cleaning step and the polishing step. That is, it has been believed that even if the water-based wax adhered to the rotating brush in the polishing step is left as it is on the brush, it does not hinder the implementation of the next polishing method.

However, when the next polishing method is carried out while leaving the water-based wax adhered to the rotary brush in the polishing step on the brush, the cleaning effect in the brushing cleaning step at the time of carrying out the polishing method is considerably lowered. do it,
The present inventors have found that there is a problem that a sufficient polishing effect cannot be expected in the subsequent polishing step, and it is considered that the reason for the decrease in the cleaning effect is the following two points.

The water-based wax adhered to the rotating brush in the above polishing step is gradually concentrated by water evaporation while the gate type traveling frame is on standby until the next polishing method is carried out, and is firmly adhered to the brush. However, since the concentrated wax easily takes dirt into itself (hence, it easily gets dirty), it will be rubbed against the vehicle body surface in the state where a large amount of dirt is taken into the wax itself in the next brushing cleaning step. As a result, the dirty wax adheres to the vehicle body surface, which causes the vehicle body surface to be soiled and reduces the brushing cleaning effect.

Further, in the next brushing cleaning step, the wax adhered to the vehicle body surface as described above further strengthens the connection between the vehicle body surface and the dirt originally attached thereto, so that the dirt on the vehicle body surface is cleaned. It becomes difficult to remove and the brushing cleaning effect is further reduced.

Further, in the conventional polishing method, water containing an activator adhering to the inside of the rotary brush and the gate type traveling frame before that is dropped on the vehicle body surface during the drying step subsequent to the polishing step. Since the wettability of the above-mentioned residual liquid with respect to the vehicle body surface increases, there is also a problem that the residual liquid is less likely to be blown off and the drying effect on the vehicle body surface deteriorates.

By the way, since the water-based wax component adhering to the rotary brushes 4, 5, 5 can be immediately washed out by the fresh water sprayed from each spray pipe in the brush washing process, the rotary brushes 4, 5, 5 in the second polishing process. The water-based wax adhering to No. 5 can be washed off early and thoroughly before the next polishing method is performed, so that the wax attached to the brushes 4, 5 and 5 is concentrated due to water evaporation. Since it can be prevented from firmly adhering to the rotating brushes 4, 5, and 5, the concentrated wax is rubbed against the vehicle body surface in the next brushing cleaning step with the dirt taken in. It is possible to avoid inconveniences such as making the vehicle dirty or making it difficult to remove the dirt on the vehicle body surface. Therefore, even though the rotating brushes 4, 5 and 5 are shared by the brushing cleaning process and the polishing process, the cleaning effect is not likely to deteriorate in the next brushing cleaning process, and a good polishing effect is always expected. can do. Moreover, the rotating brushes 4, 5,
Before the water-based wax component is concentrated and firmly adhered to 5, the water-based wax component can be washed away by simply spraying clean water, so that the work of removing the water-based wax component can be performed easily and quickly.

The brush washing step of washing out the water-based wax from the rotary brushes 4, 5 and 5 is carried out before the drying step while particularly using fresh water and rotating the rotary brushes 4, 5 and 5. Rotating brush 4, during the process
5 and 5 can be effectively washed with fresh water, and the inside of the gate-shaped traveling frame 1 can be effectively washed with a large amount of fresh water scattered from the rotating brushes 4, 5 and 5. In the drying process, the wettability of the water dripping from the inside of the rotary brushes 4, 5, 5 and the gate-shaped traveling frame 1 to the vehicle body surface with respect to the vehicle body surface can be reduced so that it can be easily blown off from the vehicle body surface. Together with the rinsing effect on the vehicle body surface due to the rinsing step immediately after the second polishing, it can greatly contribute to the improvement of the drying effect.

In this case, as the detergent, one containing an activator such as nonion or anion can be used, but if a detergent containing an anion activator is used, the detergent adheres to the rotating brushes 4, 5, 5. Aqueous wax containing cationic activator can be neutralized with anionic activator in the detergent to make it easier for the aqueous wax to flow down from the rotating brushes 4, 5 and 5. Therefore, cleaning of the rotating brushes 4, 5 and 5 is efficient. Can be done well.

As described above, according to the present invention, a step of brushing and cleaning the vehicle body surface of an automobile using a rotating brush provided on the traveling frame during traveling of the gate type traveling frame, and a step after the cleaning step After sequentially performing a polishing step of polishing the vehicle body surface, a drying step of blowing drying air to the vehicle body surface is performed, and in the polishing step, the water sprayed by the water-based wax coating device provided on the traveling frame is used. In the method for polishing a car, wherein the wax is rubbed against the vehicle body surface by the rotating brush, in the polishing step, after the rotating brush is separated from the vehicle body surface and before the drying step, the water-based agent attached to the rotating brush is used. In order to wash off the wax, clean water is sprayed onto the rotary brush and the rotary brush is rotated. The water-based wax on the brush can be washed off quickly and thoroughly before the next glazing method is performed. Therefore, the wax on the brush is concentrated as the water evaporates and becomes firm on the brush. Since it can be prevented from adhering to the vehicle body in the next brushing cleaning step, the concentrated wax will be rubbed against the vehicle body surface in a state where dirt is taken in and stain the vehicle body surface or remove the dirt on the vehicle body surface. It is possible to avoid inconveniences such as making it difficult to perform, and as a result, despite the fact that the rotating brush is commonly used in the brushing cleaning step and the polishing step, the cleaning effect may deteriorate in the next brushing cleaning step. This is eliminated, and a good polishing effect can always be expected.

Further, since the brush washing step of washing the water-based wax from the rotary brush is performed before the drying step while using fresh water and rotating the rotary brush, the rotary brush is effectively washed with fresh water during the brush washing step. Not only can it be washed, but also the inside of the gate-shaped traveling frame can be effectively washed by the large amount of fresh water scattered from the rotating brush, which allows the body to be washed from the inside of the rotating brush and the gate-shaped traveling frame during the drying process. The wettability of the water dripping on the surface to the vehicle body surface can be reduced and it can be easily blown off from the vehicle body surface, so the drying effect can be improved, and as a result, the labor to wipe the water droplets manually after the drying process is completed. Can be reduced.

Further, since the residual water-based wax on the rotary brush can be washed away by simply spraying clean water, the work efficiency can be greatly improved as compared with the case where the wax removal work is performed manually.
