ガイド4との間に、そのガイド4を前記ピストン21に向
け押し込むようにかけられているのだから、設定温度が
ダイヤルDの回転操作により高温に設定されて、サーモ
エレメント2がバネ22を押し縮めながら、混合弁14をそ
れの湯弁14bが弁座15に衝合するストロークエンドまで
押し切っている状態において、サーモエレメント2のピ
ストン21の伸び出しにより、調節ネジ3が第1逃しバネ
a−1でピストン21の伸び出し方向に押し出されるよう
になったときに、第2逃しバネa−2が、ガイド4を押
し返して前記第1逃しバネa−1のバネ圧を打消すよう
に働いて、調節ネジ3に加わる第1逃しバネa−1のバ
ネ圧を小さくするので、ダイヤルDの操作による調節ネ
ジ3の回転作動が軽い力で行なえるようになる。そし
て、調節ネジ3に対して働く第1逃しバネa−1のバネ
圧が第2逃しバネa−2により打消されるようになるこ
とで、設定温度を高く設定したときの逃しバネの撓みに
よる強力なバネ圧で調節ネジ3が回り、ダイヤルDがひ
とりでに動いて設定温度を変動させるようになるのを、
効果的に防止するようになる。
