However, since the flaps 3 are rotatably attached to the side guides 2 as described above, when the bottom plate 1 is pushed up, as shown in FIG. In addition, the guide portion 3a rides on the stacked sheets 4, and as shown in FIG. 12, a gap 5 is formed between the guide portion 3a of the flap 3 and the stacked sheets 4 so that the sheets to be fed can be sufficiently guided. It was not there, and it was a cause of skew and jam.

As shown in FIG. 6, the flap 16 has a support shaft 17 projecting from one end of a narrow plate portion 18 which is long in the lateral direction with the plate surface in the vertical direction, and the other end of the narrow plate portion 18 is provided. Has a second narrow plate portion extending upward in the width direction. The second
Of the second narrow plate portion is bent at a right angle in a direction parallel to the support shaft 17 and the tip end thereof is bent downward at an angle slightly smaller than the right angle so that the entire second narrow plate portion serves as the engaging portion 19. The tip side of the portion 19 is inclined so as to gradually separate from the narrow plate portion 18 to the outside. On the other hand, a third narrow plate portion extending from the other end of the narrow plate portion 18 in the direction opposite to the engaging portion 19 is provided, and is bent inward at a right angle to the surface of the narrow plate portion 18. A fourth narrow plate portion extending to both sides of the tip is provided at the tip of the tip, and is defined as a flat portion 20. One end of the plane portion 20 on the support shaft 17 side is bent slightly upward, and the other end is provided with a fifth narrow plate portion extending at a right angle to the outside, and the tip thereof is provided with a narrow plate portion 18.
It is bent at a right angle to the lower side at a position a little past the position intersecting the extension surface of and the bent end portion is used as the guide portion 21. The flap 16 thus formed is the right flap 16 in the sheet feeding direction, and the left flap 16 is formed symmetrically with respect to the sheet feeding direction.

By the way, as shown in FIG. 8, the recording apparatus has engaging grooves 31 provided on both side plates of the sheet feeding section, and the apparatus main body 10 of the mass sheet feeding apparatus is connected to the recording apparatus main body 30. The sheet is stacked on the bottom plate 11 by engaging with and mounting the mating groove 31. Then, the dial 14a is operated to adjust the distance between the both side guides 14 according to the size of the stacked sheets S, and the both sides are adjusted, and then the bottom plate 11 is lifted to bring the upper surface of the stacked sheets S to the recording apparatus main body. It is pressed against the paper feed roller 32 of 30. At this time, since the guide portion 21 is outside the inner surface of the side guide 14 as described above, it is possible to prevent the guide portion 21 from riding on the upper surface of the stacked sheets S.

Then, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the upper surface of the stacked sheets S pushes up the flat portion 20 of the flap 16,
The flap 16 pivots upward on the tip side about the support shaft 17. At the same time, as shown in FIG.
9 rises while engaging its inclined surface with the guide portion 15 of the holder 13. Therefore, the flap 16 is pushed by the guide portion 15 and gradually moves inward as the engaging portion 19 rises, and the guide portion 21 presses the side edge of the stacked sheets S and sends out the sheet as shown in FIG. To guide you.

In the above-described embodiment, the support shaft 17 of the flap 16 is inserted into the shaft hole 13b of the holder 13 and the engaging portion 19 is inserted into the through hole 13a, so that the flap 16 is rotatable about the support shaft 17. I installed it, but as shown in Figure 9,
You may comprise. That is, the holder 13 is provided with a rectangular through hole 13a extending parallel to its lengthwise direction, the upper end of the post 12 is bent inward, and the holder 13 is attached to the upper end so that the upper side of the holder 13 is inward. On the other hand, both flaps 16 in the above embodiment.
The surface of the narrow plate portion 18 is inclined inward so as to follow the inner side surface of the holder 13, and the engaging portion 19 extending in the width direction from the narrow plate portion 18 is bent in a U shape. The engaging portion 19 is put into the through hole 13a of the holder 13 so that the flap 1

Therefore, according to the present invention, when the bottom plate loaded with sheets is pushed up and the flat portion of the flap is pushed up by the loaded sheets, the guide portion of the side guide pushes the engaging portion to move the flap inward. Since the guide portion is pressed against the side edge of the stacked sheets, it is possible to reliably guide the sheets and prevent skews and jams during sheet feeding.
Further, by locating the guide portion outside the inner surface of the side guide first, the guide portion does not ride on the stacked sheets when the flat portion of the flap is pushed up by the stacked sheets.
