対向配備して作物苗を挟持搬送する搬送機構(5A)を
構成し、この搬送機構(5A)で搬送される作物苗の母
株を偏平状に押し潰し変形させるべく、前記無端回動帯
(15),(16)対の対向間隔を母株搬送方向下手側
ほど狭くするとともに、前記搬送機構(5A)の搬送終
端部における押し潰し変形された作物苗に作用して強制
的に小株に分離させる分離機構(5B)を備え、この分
離機構(5B)を、切欠き(25c)を有した先割れ状
の爪(25)と、この爪(25)の作物苗の根元部位へ
の進入及び退避を連続して行わせる駆動機構(43)と
で構成するとともに、前記切欠き(25c)に挟まり込
んだ作物苗の根部を排除可能な除去部材(44)を備え
てある作物苗の株分け機。1.
