Conventionally, various image processing apparatuses have been developed. For example, electrophotographic apparatuses are becoming multifunctional, digitalized, or colorized so that colors can be faithfully reproduced, and are being put into practical use. It is improving. On the other hand, with the improvement of the electrophotographic process technology, there is almost no limitation on the paper quality for transfer. On the other hand, automatic money changers, automatic vending machines, or automatic money handling machines that can use banknotes have become widespread. It is becoming difficult for a person to visually distinguish whether it is a banknote or a copied banknote from the paper quality and the image pattern. Therefore, it has been proposed that in the above-described automatic machine for handling banknotes, whether the banknote is a genuine banknote or not is determined by detecting the iron content present in the ink of the banknote.
However, in the electrophotographic process, iron is often used as a carrier in the toner, and it is difficult to discriminate bills copied by an electrophotographic apparatus by detecting iron.

That is, in the case of a banknote copied by an electrophotographic device that reproduces a black-and-white image, in the case of a banknote copied by an electrophotographic device that reproduces a color image, the spectral characteristics and iron content contained in the image are detected. Or, it may be very difficult to determine the authenticity of a bill based on the quality of paper. It is also conceivable to include a fluorescent substance in bills and distinguish it from bills that have been copied using strong ultraviolet rays in vending machines, but trends in such bills are being made in bills around the world. Is unknown at present, and it is considered that the fluorescent paint may be artificially mixed into the toner. Therefore, this method cannot be an essential improvement.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and determines whether a color document placed on a document table is a specific document for which faithful image reproduction should not be performed. It is not possible to faithfully reproduce the image from the reproduced image without prohibiting the image reproduction by changing the color of the reproduced image for the color document that should not be reproduced faithfully. It is an object of the present invention to provide an image processing device that allows a user to recognize that it is a specific image.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above problems, the image processing apparatus according to the present invention includes a photoelectric conversion unit (a photoelectric conversion unit that outputs a color signal according to the light intensity from a color document placed on a document table ( (Corresponding to the sensor 1 in the embodiment) and a judging means for judging whether or not the color original is a specific image which should not be reproduced faithfully based on the color signal output from the photoelectric conversion means. Similarly, it has a judging section 2) and a process means (also developing section 9) capable of color reproduction for reproducing an image of the color original document, and the determination means specifies that the color original document should not be faithfully reproduced. When the image is judged to be an image, the color of the reproduced image is changed in the color reproduction by the process means.

FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of an image processing apparatus of an embodiment to which the present invention is applied. A is a document, 5 is a platen glass, and 6 is a pressure plate for fixing the document. Further, 7 is an image forming lens for projecting and forming an image on a photoreceptor 8 such as a photosensitive drum, 9 is a developing unit capable of color, and E is a recording member for recording an image. 1A is a sensor that converts a light intensity or a light intensity distribution of a one-dimensional solid-state image pickup device, a two-dimensional image pickup device, or one or more photosensors into an electric signal. Even a device that can output a color signal corresponding to a color image is black and white. It does not matter if it can output an image. In this example, a CCD is used. 1B is a sensor capable of detecting the iron component of the original. Further, both 1A and 1B may be used or only 1A may be used. A laser beam printer may be used for recording. Further, it may be a device having a communication function.

In FIG. 2, the constituent parts of D are for other members,
It can be moved relatively in the X direction indicated by the arrow. That is, it may be either a movable platen type or a fixed platen type. Further, reference numerals 3, 2 and 4 are a dictionary circuit, a judging section and a signal generating circuit, respectively, as in FIG. Now, when a switch (not shown) for instructing the start of image processing is turned on, the D portion reciprocates or moves in one direction in the X direction. At this time, the image processing is not performed, and the state of the document A, for example, whether it is a bill or not is determined based on the information from 1A. The portion D is moved again, and image processing is performed according to the state of the original. The portion D may be moved only once, and image processing may be performed in real time based on the determination processing information from 1A. Alternatively, the movement control of the D portion may be performed based on the determination processing information from 1A without moving the D portion.

Next, the case where a banknote exists in a document will be described with reference to the sense of 1A. First, there may be a case where a banknote exists on a white background as shown in FIG. 3 (A) and a case where another image exists on the background as shown in FIG. 4 (B). Furthermore,
Various directions are conceivable as shown in (C) to (E). Note that this is the same even when the background is a white background.

Therefore, the document information obtained by the operation shown in FIG.
It is divided into a plurality of sections shown in the figure and it is determined whether or not it is a bill. That is, as shown in FIG. 5, while scanning the target point as H, the document intensity distributions in a plurality of directions are detected from each address on the document, and the intensity distributions stored in the dictionary circuit 3 are compared and correlated. If there are banknotes in the original, the threshold value is set so that the correlation place is higher than a certain level.

The determination unit 2 detects the intensity distribution in the original by the above-mentioned operation, and as shown in FIG. 6A, the waveform l in the k direction in the original is detected.
(Fig. 6 (B)) has a high correlation value with the waveform r (Fig. 6 (C)) in the dictionary circuit, the area (m,
n), if the sum of correlation values in all regions is above a certain threshold, then (m,
It is determined that the area n) is a banknote (denoted as M). When an iron detection sensor array such as 1B shown in FIG. 2 is present, (m, n) is a bill by recognizing it by considering the iron concentration distribution in the area (m, n). Make things more certain. The determination unit 2 outputs the information that the area is the banknote M to the control circuit 3 or stores it for output.

By the above operation, the presence or absence of the banknote M in the document A is confirmed,
The first scan of D in the X direction ends. The above-described recognition work is correlated with the dictionary for a plurality of directions on the manuscript. However, even if data is searched for in one direction on the manuscript and data for a plurality of banknotes is stored in the dictionary circuit, no effect is obtained. Is equivalent.

After the first scan of D in the X direction is completed, the actual copying operation of the original A onto the recording medium (paper sheet) E is performed in the second and subsequent scans. At that time, the signal generation circuit 4 ( m,
LED array 10 on the photoreceptor 8 corresponding to the area n).
Is turned on so that the information of the document A is not copied as it is to the area (m, n). That is, the area (m, n) is completely white, as shown in FIG. Or, as shown in (B) of FIG. 7 and (C) of FIG. 7, there are many white areas and one part of the original information exists, but the whole (m, n) area has no meaning. It is conceivable to take measures such as losing. Alternatively, the copying process may be interrupted, such as the power being turned off, simply due to the presence of the bill M in the document A. Further, as shown in FIG. 7D, a symbol such as “copy” may be output. Similarly, if the LED does not light normally, the copying process is not performed in the same manner. Further, needless to say, the present invention can be applied even if the LED is made totally "white" as described above, and the color is obviously changed or the contrast is extremely lowered.

It should be noted that copy and forgery prevention of securities such as bills, stock securities, and checks whose formats are limited can be performed by completely the same means.
