Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency by causing a passive lever to move linearly for turning a latch member and reducing the loss of torque transmitted from the passive lever to the latch member at an engagement position. CONSTITUTION:An active lever 41 and a passive lever 42 are made to perform horizontal linear motion, guided by the horizontal sections 41aa, 42aa and the slope sections 41ab and 42ab of respective slits 41a and 41b. Consequently, the engagement section 42d of the lever 42 performs linear motion, while travelling along the rotational locus of the lever 27. Also, while the lever 27 is being dragged by the engagement section 42d, dislocation at the coupled section thereof is limited to unidirectional turning, because the section 42d is performing linear motion. According to this construction, the loss of torque from the engagement section 42d to the latch lever 27 is reduced, thereby improving torque transmission efficiency.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a door closing device of this type,
The one disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2-96079 is known. This is because by rotating the passive lever of the closing mechanism arranged on the door by the operation of the drive mechanism,
The push lever is engaged with the latch member arranged on the door to rotate the latch member, and the rotation of the latch member causes the locked member arranged on the vehicle body to be engaged with the latch member and retracted. As a result, the door was changed from the non-fully closed state to the fully closed state.

However, in the above-described door closing device, since the latch lever is rotated by the rotation of the push lever to engage with the latch member, the push lever and the latch member are combined. The engaging portion is displaced in two directions by the rotational movement of both the passive lever and the latch member (sliding contact between the passive lever and the latch member).
Occurs. For this reason, a large loss occurs in the torque transmission from the passive lever to the latch member, and the operation efficiency of rotating the latch is deteriorated.

When the half-closed state of the door is detected by a switch means (not shown) or the like, as shown in FIG.
The motor 52 operates and the cam lever 53 rotates via the speed reduction mechanism 51. By this rotation of the cam lever 53, the cam shaft 53a abuts and presses the side wall 41cb of the elongated hole 41c of the active lever 41, and the active lever 41 linearly moves from the initial position shown by the solid line in FIG. 6 to the right direction in FIG. This linear movement operation of the active lever 41 is transmitted to the passive lever 42 via the cancel lever 44 because the pressing wall 44a of the cancel lever 44 is pressed by the protruding shaft 41d of the active lever 41, whereby the linear movement operation is transmitted. The passive lever 42 is also a torsion spring 43.
6 is moved linearly from the initial position shown by the solid line in FIG. 6 to the right direction shown in FIG.

The linear movement of the active lever 41 and the passive lever 42 is performed by the elongated holes 41a, 41b, 42.
As it will be performed while being guided by a and 42b,
At the initial stage of this operation, the active lever 41 and the passive lever 42 move the inclined portion 4 of the elongated holes 41a, 42a.
By 1ab and 42ab, the support shaft 31b can be rotated. That is, the active lever 4
1 and the passive lever 42 are inclined portions 41 from the initial position.
After being guided by ab and 42ab and moving linearly downward in FIG. 6, it is guided by horizontal portions 41aa and 42aa and moving horizontally straight in FIG. Reach the operating position. As a result, the passive lever 4
The second engaging portion 42d linearly moves to the right in FIG. 6 while being moved on the rotation locus of the latch lever 27, engages with the latch lever 27, and the latch lever 27 is dragged and rotated. As a result, the latch 23 also rotates in the same manner as the latch lever 27 to enter the full-latch state shown by the solid line in FIG. 2, the striker 24 is pulled in, and the door is fully closed. When the latch lever 27 is dragged by the engaging portion 42d, the displacement generated in the engaging portion between the latch lever 27 and the engaging portion 42d is shown in FIG. 8 because the engaging portion 42d moves linearly. As shown, there is only one misalignment in the direction A caused by the rotation of the latch lever 27.
As a result, the torque loss transmitted from the engagement portion 43d to the latch lever 27 at the engagement portion between the engagement portion 43d and the latch lever 27 is reduced, and the torque transmission from the engagement portion 43d to the latch lever 27 is efficiently performed. Be seen. As a result, it is possible to linearly move the passive lever 42 with a small output of the motor 52 to surely rotate the latch 23, that is, to improve the operation efficiency, whereby the motor 52 is downsized.

After the latch 23 is in the full latch state,
The cam lever 53 continues to rotate by the operation of the motor 52, and the cam shaft 53a abuts and presses the side wall 41ca of the elongated hole 41c. As a result, the active lever 41 linearly moves from the operating position to the initial position and returns to the initial position, and the passive lever 42 also linearly moves from the operating position to the initial position by the biasing force of the torsion spring 43. Return to position. The engagement portion 42d is retracted from the turning locus of the latch lever 27 in the same manner as when the state shown in FIG. 1 is changed to the state shown in FIG. 5, and the inside handle or outside handle thereafter is operated to open the door. Rotation of the latch 23 in the open state causes the latch lever 27 and the engaging portion 42 to rotate.
It will not be hindered by interference with d. The motor 52 operates for a predetermined time and automatically stops after it is detected that the latch 23 is in the full-latch state shown by the solid line in FIG.

As described above, the engaging portion 43d of the passive lever 42 is retracted from the rotation locus of the latch lever 27 in the initial state, and the inclined portion of the elongated hole 42a is in the initial stage of the linear movement operation of the passive lever 42. Four
2ab moves on the rotation locus of the latch lever. As a result, the rotational movement of the latch lever 27 is not hindered by the engaging portion 43d, and the stroke B between the engaging portion 43d and the latch lever 27 is reduced as shown in FIG. 8 in the state shown in FIG. The size can be reduced, that is, the engaging portion 43d and the latch lever 27 can be brought close to each other. As a result, the passive lever 42 can be reduced in size, the passive lever 42 can be linearly moved with a small output of the motor 52, and the latch 23 can be reliably rotated, that is, the operating efficiency can be improved.
As a result, the motor 52 is downsized.

As shown in FIG. 7, when the occupant's finger, clothes, or the like is sandwiched between the door and the vehicle body, the passive lever 42 linearly moves to move the latch 3 from the half-latched state to the full-latched state. When the inside handle or the outside handle is operated to rotate the cancel lever 44 in the clockwise direction as shown in FIG. 41d and the cancel lever 4
The engagement between the pressing wall 44a and the restriction wall 44b of No. 4 is released, and the lock state is established. As a result, the linear movement operation of the active lever 41 is not transmitted to the passive lever 43, and only the active lever 41 is in the idle driving state in which the linear movement operation is performed in the right direction in FIG. 7 (to the operating position indicated by the chain double-dashed line in FIG. 7). . As a result, the linear movement operation of the passive lever 43 is stopped midway and the rotation operation of the latch 3 is stopped. That is, the operation of the closing mechanism 4 from the half-closed state to the fully-closed state of the door is stopped. At this time, the passive lever 41 is returned to the initial position by the torsion spring 45, and the latch 23 has the open lever which is the pole 22.
Also, since the latch 23 and the pole 22 are disengaged from each other, the state returns to the unlatched state.

According to the present invention, since the latch lever is rotated by linearly moving the latch lever and engaging the latch member, the shift of the latch member caused by the rotation of the latch member is caused by the shift of the engaging portion between the latch lever and the latch member. It can only be a deviation in one direction that occurs. As a result, the loss of the torque transmitted from the passive lever to the latch member at the engaging portion is reduced, and the torque transmission from the passive lever to the latch member can be performed more efficiently than in the conventional case. As a result, the operating efficiency is improved and the drive mechanism can be downsized as compared with the conventional one.

Also, the passive lever is retracted from the turning locus of the latch member in the initial state before the linear movement operation of the passive lever by the inclined portion of the elongated hole, and the latch lever of the latch member is moved at the initial stage of the linear movement operation of the passive lever. It moves on the turning locus.

Thus, the passive lever is prevented from interfering with the independent pivotal movement of the latch member not by the passive lever, and the latch member and the passive lever can be brought close to each other at the initial stage of the movement operation of the passive lever. As a result, the passive lever can be made smaller, the operating efficiency can be further improved, and the drive mechanism can be made smaller than ever before.
