して海底に沈設された魚介類増殖礁に対するアワビ、ト
コブシ等の稚貝の放流は、稚貝放流筒である中空パイプ
の柱、中柱の上端開口部より投入し、投入後開口部を着
脱可能な蓋で塞ぐことにより、魚類等による食害が防止
され、稚貝は箱枠内部に向いた面の小孔から這い出して
箱枠内部に充填された石材間に潜入し、やがて自然に石
材に着床するので、稚貝放流育成礁として極めて有用で
ある。また、稚貝放流筒である中空パイプの柱及び中柱
は開口部を塞いでいる蓋を取り外せば、掃除することが
容易であるので、掃除終了後再び稚貝の投入ができ、魚
介類増殖礁を稚貝放流育成礁として永年使用できる。
