(Prior Art) Conventionally, the rolls used in the rolling process, the conveying process, etc. in the production of steel, non-ferrous metal, etc. are laminated with an aspest sheet, synthetic fiber non-woven fabric, etc. Later, if necessary, the surface-polished finish was used to make a roll.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) However, even the one using the above-mentioned asbestos sheet is inferior in heat resistance, for example, at a temperature of 400 ° C. or higher, cracks occur and it becomes tattered, and the durability is about several days at most. It was necessary to replace with a new roll each time, which was economical and process unsatisfactory. In addition, in order to improve the above-mentioned drawback, that is, durability, a roll using a glass fiber instead of the aspest was examined,
Due to the high hardness of the roll surface, the contacting metal surface was scratched and the durability was insufficient.

(Means for Solving Problems) The inventors of the present invention have conducted diligent studies to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and as a result, use an inorganic material having low hardness as a main material and impregnate an inorganic adhesive. Thus, the inventors have found that both of the above-mentioned defects, that is, defects such as poor durability (heat resistance) and scratches on the surface of an object that comes into contact with the roll can be solved at once, and arrived at the present invention.

That is, according to the present invention, a wet papermaking sheet whose main component is an inorganic substance having a Mohs hardness of 5 or less is punched into an appropriate shape such as a donut-shaped disc, and an inorganic adhesive having a Mohs hardness of 5 or less after solidification is punched. Impregnate with the agent and pass it through the shaft,
It is a heat-resistant roll characterized by being clamped and fixed from both sides. It does not damage the metal surface even under high temperature conditions of 400 ° C or higher, and has durability that is several to several tens of times that of conventional products.

The inorganic substance used in the present invention has a Mohs hardness of 5 or less, and is 4 when the target metal is aluminum.
A fibrous or powder having a heat resistance of 400 ° C. or higher, preferably 500 ° C. or higher is preferable, and a Mohs hardness of more than 5 causes scratches on the contact surface of the metal moving on the roll. Suitable inorganic materials for this include many natural and artificial minerals. For example, potassium titanate, rockwool, anhydrite, nepheline, heavy shale, calcite, eternal stone,
Perovskite, fluorite, galena, ore, graphite, rhodochrystalite, mica group, hard manganese ore, quartzite, rhodomanganese, rhombite, talc, tollite, vermiculite, hematite, rose pyroxene It is preferably a fibrous or whisker made of etc. and has an aspect ratio of 5 or more, and even if it has an aspect ratio of less than 5, that is, even if it is in the form of powder, it can be used in combination with an aspect ratio of 5 or more. Can be used.

Further, when forming into a sheet, a paper strength enhancer, a polymer flocculant, a hydrated and swelling bentonite, an inorganic binder for papermaking such as mountain bark, and other papermaking agents, etc., which are usually used, can be appropriately used in combination, if necessary. . At this time, the organic substance used is preferably 30% by weight or less of the sheet, and preferably 20% by weight or less. If this organic substance exceeds 30% by weight, the heat resistance becomes insufficient and the object of the present invention cannot be achieved.

The above-mentioned raw materials for papermaking such as inorganic substances are dispersed in water and formed into a sheet by a wet papermaking method. The wet papermaking method used in the present invention means, for example, a belt-shaped, circular, or square-shaped over-mesh, an over-medium such as a cloth or plate, and a uniform thickness of the liquid dispersed in the water. It is a general term for a method of forming into a sheet form by allowing it to flow, or by sandwiching it with the above-mentioned excess medium, and then drying it by an operation such as natural or reduced pressure.

The sheet-like material thus obtained is punched by a suitable method into, for example, a donut-shaped circle having a center hole suitable for the sectional shape of the shaft rod, and a necessary number of sheets are stacked and passed through the shaft rod. The doughnut-shaped sheet is compressed by an appropriate method to obtain a roll whose peripheral portion is the surface of the roll.
