Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide resin ornamental bodies which are mounted to frame constituting parts and are fine, bright and high in bonding strength and to prevent the dislodgment thereof from the frame constituting parts, etc., by forming recessed parts on the surfaces of these ornamental bodies and providing these recessed parts with resins of the colors different from the colors of the ornamental bodies. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of the metallic frame constituting parts 1, such as temples, bridges and rims, are provided with recesses 2 and the ornamental bodies 4 consisting of the resins of the prescribed colors are embedded therein. The resins 6 of the colors different from the colors of the recessed parts 5, for example, lacquer, cashew, epoxy, etc., are embedded into the recessed parts 5 formed on the surfaces of these ornamental bodies 4. Then, this spectacle frame is formed with the three-dimensional ornaments by the ornamental bodies 4 coupled with the resins 6. Since both of the ornamental bodies 4 and the resins 6 are solid, the ornaments do not fade in color and are bright and exquisite. The bonding strength thereof is so high that the ornaments do not dislodge from the frame constituting parts in spite of contact with objects. Further, the ornaments are formed by infecting the resin 6 materials into the recessed parts 5 and, therefore, there is no need for treatments, such as masking, and the operations are simplified.

In the conventional example, a colorful and delicate decoration can be formed, but the color may fade with time depending on the components of the ink. Further, if the surface of the frame component is a curved surface, it is difficult for the printing mold to adhere to it. Therefore, the adhesive force between the ink and the frame component is weak, and the ink may peel off due to contact with the object.
