Abstract

PURPOSE:To assort bundles to be assorted from volume bundles promptly and correctly and forward them by inserting a division plate between the insertion gaps, and separating the assortment bundles and supply bundles in a vertical direction, and thereafter transferring the assortment bundles. CONSTITUTION:The volume bundles alternatively stacked every few volumes in their binding sides are supplied from the lower side to the upside by a lifter, and the height of the assortment bundles is computed from the arbitrary number information of volumes to be commanded and the thickness information of volume bundles, and on the basis of the numerals, a sorting claw 40 is put in the central part in the thickness direction of a cutting surface crossed at right angles with the lowermost volume binding side of the assortment bundles. Next, the vertical separation between the sorting claw 40 and the lower supply bundles results in a formation of insertion gaps between a cover lower surface of the volume binding side at the lowermost part of the assortment bundles and a cover upper surface of the volume at the uppermost of the supply bundles. The insertion of an assortment plate 50 causes a complete separation between the assortment bundles and the supply bundles, as a result, at the time of transporting the assortment bundles, the supply bundles are never drawn therewith.

However, in such a conventional method of sorting a bundle of books, in order to reliably deliver the book, for example, the shape of the projection 2 depending on the thickness of the book, For example, you need to change the height,
The next protrusion cannot be fed out unless one protrusion 2 completely ejects the uppermost bundle. On the other hand, if the speed of the feed belt 1 is simply increased, the protrusion can be reliably fed. Therefore, there is a problem that the feed rate has a certain limit.

When the booklet bundle is loaded onto the push-up fork 31, the screw member 37 is rotated by the servo motor 38 and is pushed up via the guide rail 34 for the front-back direction, the slide member 33, and the arm member 32. The fork 31 rises and the bundle of books is lifted from the receiving position. The height of the sorting bundle is calculated from the information about the arbitrary number of books and the thickness information of the books. The pad member 152 for height detection is pushed up to the uppermost book of the book bundle by an amount corresponding to the height of the sorting bundle. Generally, the book thickness is
Numerical value when there is a difference in each cutting surface orthogonal to the binding side,
Also, due to the relationship between the folding restoring force of the signatures that compose a book and the stacking weight pressure, the thickness on the binding side of each book may differ depending on the stacking order. By incorporating the correction value into the function calculation of the bundle height, the dimensional error of the height of the sorting bundle can be reduced. When the bundle of books is lifted to a predetermined position, the sorting claw 40 is
It is a cutting surface orthogonal to the binding side of the lowermost book of the sorting bundle, and is inserted in the center of the cutting surface in the thickness direction. At this time, the dividing claw 40 has the auxiliary claw member 42 in the closed position close to the main claw member 41 as shown by the solid line in FIG. The cylinder member 46 causes the auxiliary claw member 42 to be in the open position as shown by an imaginary line in FIG.

As described above, the dividing claw 40 may be directly inserted into the center of the cutting surface in the thickness direction, but in this embodiment, "120" or the like is used so that the dividing claw 40 can be easily inserted. Has been. That is, the partitioning claw 40 is only applied to the cut surface of the calculated partitioning position, the cylinder member 124 for the supporting member is operated, and the supporting member 120 is orthogonal to the binding side of the sorting bundle via the relay member 122. Then, the cutting surface on the front side is pressed, and the sorting bundle is supported by sandwiching the sorting bundle from both sides by the supporting member 120 and the abutting member 128 corresponding thereto, and then the lifter 30 is lowered to increase the number of the sorting bundle. Also in this case, the insertion resistance of the sorting claw 40 due to the weight pressure of the sorting bundle is reduced. After reducing the weight pressure of the sorting bundle, the sorting claw 40 can be easily inserted.

When the pushing-up fork 31 is lowered by a predetermined amount after the sorting claw 40 is inserted, the lower part of the lowermost book of the sorting bundle below the sorting claw 40 hangs down by its own weight, and the sorting claw 40 is used as a boundary. A book center gap is formed between the upper part of the lowermost book and the lower part of the book. Further, a gap for insertion may be formed between the lowermost book of the sorting bundle and the lower supply bundle, and the sorting plate 50 may be directly inserted into the insertion gap, but in the present embodiment. Uses the photoelectric sensor 100, the sweeping claw 110, and the like so that the partition plate 50 can be easily inserted.

That is, the optical axes of the pair of photoelectric sensors 100 respectively pass through the gaps in the book center, the optical axes of one photoelectric sensor 100 are blocked by the binding side of the lowermost book, and the other photoelectric sensor 100 is blocked. The optical axis goes through the open side of the book at the bottom of the sorting bundle and travels outward without being blocked. A light receiving unit (not shown) provided corresponding to the pair of sweeping claws 110 detects it, and thus the binding side of the book can be detected.

When the partition plate 50 is inserted into the separation gap, the mounting plate 131 is positioned below the supporting member 51 of the partition plate 50. Next, when the stopper 138 is swung from the restraint position to the restraint release position by the cylinder member 139, the weight of the sorting bundle comes to be applied to the placing plate 131 via the support member 51. The placing plate 131 is biased upward by the restoring force of the spring member 130 corresponding to the calculated weight of the sorting bundle, and if the restoring force of the spring member 130 and the actual load of the sorting bundle are balanced, the placing plate 131 is placed. The placing plate 131 slightly swings, and the sensor shown in the figure detects it, and it is detected that they are in balance.

The restoring force of the spring member 130 and the load of the actual sorting bundle are quickly balanced, and the rotation amount of the disc 136 for pulse generation is detected by the sensor 1 for detecting the rotation angle.
It is possible to quickly detect the sorting bundle of a predetermined number by detecting the sorting bundle 37. Then, the number of sorting bundles can be calculated from the weight value of one book measured in advance. When there is a difference between the number of sorting bundles and the commanded number, the books are replenished or removed to obtain the thickness of the books. The value is also increased or decreased to correct the error.
