Further, another type of connector has an insulating housing having a contact accommodating chamber for accommodating a plurality of contacts, and a double locking member inserted from the rear wall side of the housing. In some cases, the upper surface of the double locking member is exposed at the free end so that the double locking member cannot slide when the terminal is incompletely inserted. And
In this state, the lock lever does not bend and the mating connector cannot be fitted to detect the incompletely inserted state of the contact.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, Japanese Patent Publication No. 4-2
Since the connectors disclosed in Japanese Patent No. 3391 and Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 4-137474 have a structure in which the double locking member is inserted from the side wall of the insulating housing, when the double locking member is in the temporary locking state, The side wall of the insulating housing into which the double locking member is inserted protrudes from the surface. For this reason, there is a drawback in that the main locking state is likely to occur during transportation or when an unexpected external force is applied. Further, since such a double locking member is simply inserted from the side wall of the insulating housing, it may fall off from the insulating housing as opposed to the above-mentioned full locking state.

Further, in a connector of the type in which the double locking member is attached to the rear surface of the insulating housing, if the cable with the contacts crimped in the final locking state is pressed, the temporary locking state is restored. Also, a double locking member is inserted at the rear end of the barrel part of the contact to double lock the contact, but the contact is stretched due to the crimping of the cable, which causes the double locking position of the contact to fluctuate. May occur, and a state in which the double locking is not performed may occur. Furthermore, in this type of connector, the double locking member cannot slide when the terminal is half-inserted, and since the upper surface of the double locking member projects below the lock lever, the lock lever does not bend. Rejects mating with the mating connector. That is, this type of connector only detects the half-inserted state of the contact.

The present invention has been proposed in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of the prior art, and prevents the double locking member from being permanently locked or disengaged at the time of transportation and by an unexpected external force. It is also an object of the present invention to provide a double locking type connector that prevents the locking from returning to the temporary locking state even if the cable is twisted, and does not change the double locking position of the contact. .

The double locking member is moved from the temporary locking position to the main locking position by pressing the acupressure surface formed on the upper surface of the double locking member, and Since the acupressure surface is configured to be lower than the upper surface of the lock lever formed in the insulating housing, the double locking member is provided by the presence of the lock lever due to the presence of the lock lever during transportation or even when an unexpected external force is applied to the connector. Since the external force is prevented from being applied, the double locking member does not easily move from the temporary locking position to the main locking position.

Similarly, in the case where the double locking member is moved from the temporary locking position to the main locking position by the bending of the lock lever provided at a predetermined position of the insulating housing, the double locking member is also used. Since the heavy locking member is covered by the upper lock lever, the double locking member is prevented from moving from the temporary locking position to the full locking position due to an unexpected external force. In addition, when the contact is half-inserted, the double locking member cannot move to the full locking position, which limits the flexure of the lock lever that presses the double locking member, and connects with the mating connector. Be rejected.

The contact 4 is inserted into the contact accommodating chamber 11 in the insulating housing 1 from the contact insertion hole 31 of the pressing member 3 on the rear surface side. When the contact 4 is inserted while the double locking member 2 is in the temporary locking state, the lance 15 formed inside the insulating housing 1 causes the first locking portion 41 of the contact 4, as shown in FIG. The upper plate portion 20a and the lower plate portion 20 of the double locking member 2
The lower edge portion of b is not engaged with the second locking portion 43. That is, in this state, the contact 4 can be inserted and removed, and the engagement protrusion 14 is engaged with the temporary engagement recess 25 a on the lower side of the double engagement member 2.

In the case of the final locking, as shown in FIG. 8, the finger pressure portion 13 of the lock lever 12 provided flexibly on the upper surface of the insulating housing 1 is pressed with a finger. Then, the acupressure part 13 of the lock lever 12 descends and presses the upper plate part 20a of the double locking member 2. As a result, the double locking member 2 is lowered, and the upper plate portion 20a and the lower plate portion 20 are
The edge portion of b is engaged with the side surface of the second locking portion 43 of the contact 4. When the double locking member 2 is moved to the main locking position, the engagement protrusion 14 provided inside the insulating housing 1 engages with the main locking recess 25b of the double locking member 2, and The movement (elevation) of the locking member 2 afterward is prevented.

Even in the second embodiment, as in the first embodiment, when even one of the contacts 4 is in the half-inserted state, the upper plate portion 20a or the lower portion of the double locking member 2 is lowered. The lower surface of the plate portion 20b contacts the upper surface of the second locking portion 43 of the contact 4 and prevents the double locking member 2 from moving to the main locking position. Therefore, when trying to connect with the mating connector in the half-inserted state, the lock lever 12 is locked by the double locking member 2.
This prevents the connector from bending and rejects the connection with the mating connector. Therefore, it is possible to easily detect that even one contact 4 is half-inserted, and the connector is not connected when the contact is incompletely inserted.

In the above description, the mooring of the double locking member 2 at the temporary locking position and the final locking position is performed by the engagement projection 14 formed inside the insulating housing 1 and the double locking member 2. Locking recess 25 formed on the insertion side end surface of the upper plate 20a
However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the engaging projections and the engaging grooves are provided in other portions and are engaged with each other. Therefore, the double locking member 2 may be moored at the temporary locking position and the main locking position, respectively.

As described above, according to the present invention, the double locking member can be moved only from the temporary locking position to the main locking position, and cannot be removed from the insulating housing by the pressing member. Since it is held and accommodated as described above, the double locking member does not come off from the insulating housing.

Further, the double locking member is moved from the temporary locking position to the main locking position by pressing the acupressure surface formed on the upper surface of the double locking member. Moreover, when the acupressure surface is configured to be lower than the upper surface of the lock lever formed in the insulating housing, during transportation and even when an unexpected external force is applied to the connector,
The presence of the lock lever prevents external force from being applied to the double locking member, and the double locking member does not easily move from the temporary locking position to the main locking position.

Similarly, even when the double locking member is moved from the temporary locking position to the final locking position by the bending of the lock lever provided at a predetermined position of the insulating housing, Since the double locking member moored in the temporary locking position is covered by the upper lock lever, even if an unexpected external force is applied to the connector, the double locking member in the temporary locking position is temporarily locked. It does not move from the locked position to the main locked position.

Further, even when the double locking member is moved from the temporary locking position to the final locking position by the bending of the lock lever for locking the connection with the mating connector,
If the contact is half-inserted (incomplete insertion), the lock lever is also restricted from bending when connected to the mating connector, so if the contact is imperfectly inserted, the connection with the mating connector is rejected. It will not happen that the connector is not connected properly.
