Description of the Related Art An ultrasonic caulking method is one in which a caulking hole is formed in an object to be adhered, a caulking boss of a molded product made of a thermoplastic resin is fitted into the caulking hole, and the tip of the boss is subjected to an ultrasonic caulking horn. It is a method of press-contacting, softening, crushing, and crimping. This method is relatively inexpensive in terms of equipment costs and can be easily fixed, so it is possible to fix plate-like materials such as synthetic resin plates and metal plates, and relatively soft materials such as thin plates and films. In recent years, it has been widely practiced.

It is considered that the resin net is melted by the conventional method of heating and welding as the mounting method, and therefore the adoption of the ultrasonic caulking method is also considered. .

There was a problem in crimp strength and appearance quality. Further, since the shape of the crushed portion varies, there is a possibility that a defective fixing product may occur.

Since the crushed portions have substantially the same shape, the crushed portions have the same shape as the space of the accommodating portion, have a good appearance, and have high crimping strength, and are optimal as crimping portions. Further, since the shape of the crushed portion is always constant in each crimped portion, there is less variation in crimp strength.

That is, when the resin net 4 is fitted into the caulking boss 2, if the gap between the caulking boss 2 and the caulking hole 5 of the resin net 4 is neglected, the volume of the accommodating portion 1 a is from the upper surface of the resin net 4. It is equal to the volume of the portion of the caulking boss 2 that further projects.

The ultrasonic caulking is performed by pressing the bottom surface 1b of the housing portion 1a of the horn 1 against the tip of the boss 2. The ultrasonic vibration of the caulking horn 1 is transmitted to the boss portion 2 and the boss portion 2
Is softened from the tip by this ultrasonic vibration and is crushed by being pressed. The crushed portion 3 is thus crushed and crimped to form the crushed portion 3. Since the crushed portion 3 forms a larger cross section than the crimped hole 5, the crushed portion 3 causes the resin net 4 to move to the cowl louver 6. It is fixed on the fixed surface.

Acts as a mold and is formed in the same shape. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the crushed portion 3 which has a good appearance and a high caulking strength and which has an optimum shape as a fixed portion. Moreover, since the shape of the crushed portion 3 is always constant, the variation in the caulking strength is small in each caulking portion.

When the volume A and the volume B of the crushed portion 3 are the same, the strongest caulking strength is obtained, and the variation is small. When this relationship is broken, the peeling strength is reduced even if the volume A of the housing portion 1a is larger than the volume B of the crushing portion 3 and vice versa. In particular, the volume A of the housing portion 1a is the volume B of the crushing portion 3.

It is characterized in that the volume of the crushed portion formed by crushing is substantially equalized. Therefore, the shape of the crushed portion is the same as the space shape of the accommodating portion, and the optimum shape for the caulking portion can be obtained, so that the caulking strength can be improved. Further, since the shape of the crushed portion is always constant in each caulking portion, the variation in the caulking strength is reduced and the adherend can be adhered uniformly. Further, since the crushed portion has no protrusion, the appearance quality is improved.

波かしめ方法。1. A caulking boss formed integrally with a molded product made of a thermoplastic resin is fitted into a caulking hole formed in an adherend, and a caulking horn is pressed against the tip of the caulking boss. In the ultrasonic caulking method comprising softening and crushing, a crimping end face of the crimping horn is formed with a housing portion having a rectangular cross-sectional shape, and the capacity of the housing portion and the caulking boss are crushed. The ultrasonic caulking method is characterized in that the volume of the crushed portion is substantially equalized.
