And FIG. 6 will be described. FIG. 5 illustrates an image reading unit, an image forming unit, a recording paper feeding unit, and the like of a document image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a scanner, and a facsimile.
Above 01, an original guide plate 108 for guiding the fed originals 102 to the reading position one by one, a separating section 109,
The transport unit 110, the reading unit 111, and the like are arranged. The separating unit 109 applies the pressure plate 109a, the pickup roller 109b, the separating roller 109c, and the feed roller 10 to the original 102.
Separation into one sheet by cooperation of 9d, etc. Transport unit 110
Conveys the original 102 separated into one sheet to a pair of conveyance rollers 110.
It is conveyed to the reading unit 111 at a predetermined speed by a. In the reading unit 111, the original 102 is held in a stable posture on the reading line by the contact glass 112, the original surface is illuminated by the light source 103, and the reflected light obtained by the illumination by the light source 103 is reflected by the mirror of the imaging optical system 105. 105a, lens 105b
An image is formed on the light receiving surface of the light receiving element 106 or the photosensitive surface of the photoconductor 107. After that, the original 102 is discharged from the discharge roller pair 1.
The sheet is ejected from the reading unit 111 by 13. Internal housing 1
A sheet 114, a thermal head 115, a platen roller 116, a cutter 117, a sheet discharge roller pair 118, and the like are arranged below 01. FIG. 6 is a diagram showing a mounting structure of a light source. The light source 103 is mounted on the inner housing 101, and a light emitting portion 103b of a tube portion that emits irradiation light, terminal portions 103a at both ends including a harness that applies a voltage. The socket portion 119 of the light source 103 is fixed to the internal housing 101 by the screw 121 by the light source pressing plate 120. In the original image forming apparatus of the fixing device to the light source and its internal casing as described above,
Since the number of parts is large, the cost is high, the holding position of the light source is uneven, and the light receiving element is located on the upper side of the internal casing 101, so that the light blocking is insufficient and light other than the reflected light of the document is not obtained. However, there is a problem that the possibility of incident light is increased and the image quality is deteriorated.

In a document image forming apparatus for irradiating the light receiving surface of the light receiving element or the photosensitive surface of the photoconductor with the imaging optical system, one space partitioned by the internal housing is
There is a tube-shaped light source that illuminates the image surface of the document, and a concave holding portion that is provided in the inner casing for directly holding the terminal portions at both ends of the light source, and is partitioned by the inner casing. In the other space, an image forming optical system for forming an image of reflected light obtained by irradiating with the light source, and a light receiving surface of a light receiving element or a photosensitive surface of a photoconductor formed by the image forming optical system are arranged. The internal casing has a structure that shields light other than the reflected light from the image surface of the document so that the light does not enter the light receiving surface of the light receiving element or the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive member. It is characterized in that the holding position of the light source of the section becomes a reference position for mounting the light source, and that the light source is pressed by a document guide plate that guides the document onto the contact glass.

FIG. 1 is a structural explanatory view of an embodiment of an image reading unit of an image forming apparatus to which the present invention is applied. A document 2 guided by a document guide plate 8 above an inner casing 1 and conveyed in the direction of arrow A. After being separated into one sheet by the separating section 9, the sheet is conveyed in the direction of arrow A by the conveying section 10 and held in a stable posture on the reading line of the contact glass 12. The image surface of the original 2 is illuminated with a tube-shaped light source 3. The light source 3 is held by directly fitting the outer peripheral portions of the terminal portions 3 a at both ends to a concave holding portion 4 provided in the internal housing 1. Therefore, since the light source 3 does not have a socket portion, the cost is reduced.

b, since the light receiving element 6 or the photoconductor 7 is arranged, the light other than the reflected light from the image surface of the document 2 is separately provided so as not to enter the light receiving surface of the light receiving element 6 or the photoconductive surface of the photoconductor 7. The internal housing 1 completely shields light without providing a light shield plate. Therefore, since the internal housing 1 can also serve as the light shielding plate, the cost is reduced, and the situation in which the image quality is not deteriorated by the light other than the reflected light on the image surface of the document 2 does not occur. When the image reading of the original 2 is completed by the reading unit 11 such as the contact glass 12 or the like, the paper is discharged from the reading unit 11 by the paper discharge roller pair 13.

The holding portion 4 for holding the outer peripheral portions of the terminal portions 3a at both ends of the light source 3 is a recess formed by cutting out a part of the internal housing 1. It is a shape part. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing a configuration of an internal housing that supports the light source. When the terminal portions at both ends of the light source are dropped in the concave groove portion of the holding portion 4 in the direction of arrow 3a in the drawing, The shape and dimensions are set in advance so that the holding position of the light source 3 of the holding unit 4 coincides with the mounting reference position of the light source 3.
