Abstract

PURPOSE:To pick up both of a fingerprint image and a personal image and to obtain a system with high security by providing an optical part for matching fingerprints with an optical part for picking up a personal image. CONSTITUTION:The fingerprint image of a finger (e) put on a prism (d) is reflected by a mirror (c) and picked up by a CCD camera (a) through a lens (b). On the other hand, the mirror (c) is rotated, a personal image (h) is reflected by a mirror (f) through a lens (g) and picked up by the camera (a) through the lens (b). Then, these images are sent to a CPU, which simultaneously executes the analysis of the finger-prints and the display of the personal image on a monitor television (TV). If necessary, those images are recorded by a video tape recorder (VTR). Thereby, an electric lock can be unlocked by the finger-prints and the person can be simultaneously checked. The images can be also stored in the VTR. Consequently, the system with high security can be obtained.
