Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a footwear parts for the footwear capable of cooling or warming inside of the foot-wear or changing over it between the cooling and warming. CONSTITUTION:A Peltier element 2 is disposed in a proper position of a footwear 1 like shoes, while the Peltier element 2 is connected to a power source 3 like a battery. Either one cool and warm heat generated by the electrification to the Peltier element 2 is sent to the other part of the footwear by a heat transmitting means 4 made of a material having high heat conductivity. Warm heat and cool heat generated simultaneously are radiated to the outside of the footwear by a heat radiating means 5 like fins. The Peltier element 2 may be disposed in parts attached or assembled to the footwear.

The Peltier element (2) is an electronic cooling element in which N-type and P-type semiconductors are joined with a metal piece, as shown in the principle diagram of FIG. When a direct current is passed from an N-type semiconductor to a P-type semiconductor, the direction of the current in the N-type semiconductor is opposite to that of the current direction.
In the P-type semiconductor, heat is transferred in the forward direction. As a result, the metal piece on the upper side of FIG. 3 is cooled, and the opposite side becomes high temperature. When the heat on the high temperature side is efficiently dissipated, the heat is continuously pumped from the low temperature side to the high temperature side.

The Peltier element (2) is adapted to be connected to the power supply (3). The power supply (3) is part of the footwear, for example
It can be provided inside the heel of the footwear, in the outer pockets of the footwear (instep, waist, heel), and the like. Alternatively, the power supply (3) can be stored away from the footwear and stored in a holder on the ankle or belt or in a pocket of clothes. By simply switching the direction of current flow to the Peltier element (2), the low temperature surface and the high temperature surface are reversed.

As the above-mentioned power source (3), various portable primary batteries and secondary batteries such as dry batteries, storage batteries and solar batteries are used. For example, in a car, a fixed power source such as a car battery is used. Can also be used. Recently, small or thin film high performance batteries have been developed and it is desirable to use such batteries. In addition, since batteries of the type that are charged by vibration, bending, pressure, etc. have also been developed, it is advantageous to use such batteries because the kinetic energy during walking can be used directly or by storing.
