There are various kinds of adhesives that have been used conventionally, but room temperature curing type adhesives (including volatile solvents) are widely used because of their good handleability and low cost. There is. As a means for performing bonding using this room temperature curable adhesive, for example, the applicant of the present invention has disclosed that
There is one which is applied to the magnetic disk cartridge already proposed in Japanese Patent No. In the one disclosed in this publication, a magnetic disk cartridge accommodating a disc-shaped magnetic sheet has a structure in which a flange portion of a center core is attached to a central hole of the magnetic sheet, and the center core and the magnetic sheet are attached to each other. A liquid adhesive obtained by adding an epoxy-based curing agent to a room temperature curing heat-activatable acrylic resin is used for wearing. And by using this adhesive,
Compared with the conventional one, the initial sticking force is stronger and the inconvenience that the center core and the magnetic sheet are displaced in the assembling process is eliminated, and the final strength can be improved, and an inexpensive magnetic disk cartridge is obtained.

On the other hand, an apparatus for discharging a fixed amount of the adhesive as described above to a predetermined position of the magnetic sheet to perform the adhesion, for example, a fluid fixed amount which the applicant of the present invention has already proposed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 3-101862. There is a discharge device. In the fluid constant-volume discharge device disclosed in this publication, the adhesive in a suitable adhesive container is pressurized by a pressurizing means, and is sent to the adhesive ejecting means through a pressure piping system connected to this adhesive container. Further, the adhesive can be supplied to a predetermined position of the object to be coated under the control of the control means as appropriate. That is, by appropriately controlling the adhesive discharge means by the control means, the supply of the adhesive from the pressure piping system is configured to be discharged from the nozzle of the adhesive discharge means in a required amount, and the adhesive discharge position is set. A predetermined amount of adhesive can be supplied from the nozzle to an object to be continuously conveyed and appropriately rotated at the adhesive supply position, and for example, the object to be continuously conveyed can be efficiently conveyed. It enables the application process of applying the adhesive.

In the coating step as described above, the conveyance of the object to be coated may be stopped due to a trouble, for example. At this time, in the case of the adhesive ejecting means provided with the nozzle, if the adhesive is a room temperature curing type adhesive that cures relatively quickly such that the adhesive contains a volatile solvent, the adhesive ejecting means If it is stopped for a long time, the adhesive will be solidified at the tip of the nozzle. Therefore, it is necessary to remove the solidified adhesive when the coating process is restarted. However, the removing work and the cleaning work of the tip portion of the nozzle are very troublesome, and there is a problem that the nozzle is damaged in some cases. Further, as a method of solving the above-mentioned solidification problem, for example, there is a method of continuously discharging the adhesive, but in this method, the adhesive is extremely wasteful, When the runoff was stopped, a phenomenon occurred in which the adhesive pulled a thread from the nozzle, and the application process could not be restarted until the thread was eventually removed, and the cleaning operation was still necessary. The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and after stopping this coating step in the adhesive coating step, the adhesive is normally supplied to the object to be coated even when the adhesive discharging means is restarted. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for supplying an adhesive which can be applied in a fixed amount and which does not increase the amount of the adhesive used.

During a repeating step of the above operation, when a mechanical failure occurs in the transport system of the center core 6 and the work is stopped for a predetermined time or longer, the dispenser 1 is moved by the moving means 7 to the final striking position (coating position). The intermittent ejection operation is performed such that the adhesive is ejected from the working position E) to a blanking position (standby position F), and the blanking operation of the adhesive is repeated, for example, 2 seconds of ejection and 30 seconds of ejection stop. . By performing this blanking operation, when the discharge of the adhesive from the nozzle 12 of the dispenser 1 is stopped, the curing of the adhesive at the tip of the nozzle 12 due to the evaporation of the solvent of the adhesive is prevented. It should be noted that the interval of this blank ejection is not limited to the above time, and can be set as appropriate depending on the type of adhesive, the structure of the nozzle, etc. In short, the interval is such that the adhesive does not solidify at the tip of the nozzle. I wish I could
If it can be set to be longer than the intermittent period at the time of final striking, waste of the adhesive can be avoided accordingly.

As described above, during the suspension of the bonding process, the adhesive ejection means is moved to the standby position and the blank ejection is performed to eject the adhesive from the nozzle of the adhesive ejection means. The hardening phenomenon of the adhesive can be prevented, and unnecessary blanking of the adhesive can avoid unnecessary consumption of the adhesive. Then, for example, when the mechanical failure of the transport system is recovered, the dispenser 1 returns to the main-positioning position and starts the main-bonding of the adhesive, but the tip of the nozzle 12 is disposed in the return path for cleaning. Since the means 8 moves while in contact with the means 8, it is possible to remove the deposits of the filamentous material formed by the adhesive pulling the thread from the tip of the nozzle by the above-mentioned blanking. In this way, when the main shot is restarted, the tip of the nozzle is cleaned by the cleaning means, so that the thread-like formation of the adhesive formed on the tip of the nozzle during the idle shot is removed. A normal adhesive can be supplied from the shot. Although the method of the present invention has been described by taking the method of manufacturing a magnetic disk cartridge as an example, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and in the apparatus, for example, an adhesive supply system or an object to be coated. The transport system and the like can be changed as needed.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, since the adhesive supply means moves to the idle driving position to intermittently perform the idle driving during the stoppage of the machine, the tip of the nozzle. No teardrop-shaped cured product is produced. Further, since the tip of the nozzle is cleaned by the cleaning means when moving to the final striking position when the final striking is restarted, the string-like formation formed on the tip of the nozzle during the blank striking period is also removed. The normal adhesive supply can be performed from the first shot of the final hit. As a result, it is possible to avoid wasteful consumption of the adhesive and improve workability of the bonding process.
