A structure for mounting a combustion device, which is installed below a heat exchanger such as a water heater or a boiler so as to form a combustion flame toward the heat exchanger, wherein the heat exchanger and the combustion device are connected to each other. An airtight packing is interposed between the heat exchanger and a receiving rail on the lower side of the heat exchanger, and a mounting rail on the upper side of the combustion device for laterally slidably engaging the receiving rail. Installed respectively, at the tip end side of the receiving rail in the insertion direction of the attachment rail, the tip end side of the attachment rail to be inserted is guided obliquely upward so that the upper surface of the insertion tip end side of the combustion device is pressed against the packing. A first projecting portion for allowing the rear end side of the mounting rail to be inserted to be guided obliquely upward at the rear end side of the mounting rail in the insertion direction so that the upper surface of the combustion device on the rear end side of the insertion side is inserted.
