Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate application of resin coating by preparing an elongated rod ferrite core having a plurality of recesses extending in the axial direction while being twisted between the opposite ends and applying a resin coating on the outer periphery of the rod core such that the coated core has a circular cross-section. CONSTITUTION:A rod ferrite 1 is provided with four arcuate recesses 2 extending in the axial direction in the outer periphery thereof. The recess 2 is twisted by about 40 deg. between the opposite ends of the rod. A resin coating 5 is then applied circularly to the entire periphery of the core 1. The core 1 is disposed in the center of the inner peripheral space of a tubular coating member designed such that the resin coating 5 has outer diameter of 2.9mm and then a resin is fed between the core 1 and the coating member. In this regard, the twisted recesses 2 made in the outer periphery of the core 1 facilitate resin coating.

2. Description of the Related Art FIG. 4 shows a conventional example. FIG. 4A is a sectional view and FIG. 4B is a front view. This conventional example is a rod-shaped core in which a resin coating 42 is applied to the entire circumference of a rod-shaped ferrite core 41 having a circular cross section, and the ferrite core 41 had an outer diameter of 2.8 mm and a length of 20 mm. Such a rod-shaped core is used as an antenna for a radio receiver or the like, but since the ferrite core has a brittle and fragile property, a resin coating is applied to the entire circumference.

When resin coating is applied to the rod-shaped core, a cylindrical coating member is inserted around the rod-shaped core, and resin is poured between the cylindrical coating member and the rod-shaped core. Although the resin coating was performed, the resin coating was not performed because the resin flow was bad because the resin coating was performed with this interval being 0.1 mm or the like. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object thereof is to provide a rod-shaped core that can be easily coated with a resin.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment according to the present invention. Figure 1
(A) is sectional drawing, (b) is a front view. In this embodiment, a ferrite core 1 in the shape of a round rod is formed, and four arc-shaped recesses 2 extending in the axial direction are formed at four locations on the outer circumference. The recess 2 is twisted by about 40 degrees from one end to the other end. The dimensions of this core 1 are as follows: l dimension of FIG. 1 (a) is 2.8 mm, m dimension is 2.5 mm, and length is 40 m.
m. FIG. 2A is a sectional view of an embodiment in which the resin coating 5 is applied to the entire circumference of the core 1, and FIG.
It shows in (b). In the example, the outer diameter n of the rod-shaped core is 2.9.
It is resin-coated so as to have a circular shape of mm.
In the resin coating 5, the core 1 is arranged in the center of the inner peripheral space of a cylindrical coating member designed so that the outer diameter of the resin coating is 2.9 mm. Resin is poured in between to perform resin coating. At this time, due to the twisted concave portion 2 formed on the outer periphery of the core 1, the resin flow was improved, and the resin coating could be easily performed. Another embodiment according to the present invention is shown in FIG. 3A is a sectional view and FIG. 3B is a front view. In this embodiment, the ferrite core 3 is in the shape of a round bar, and arcuate recesses 4 extending in the axial direction are formed at three locations on the outer circumference. This recess 4 is also formed by twisting from one end to the other end. The core 3 has a dimension of 2.3 mm at a portion corresponding to dimension l in FIG. 1, 2.0 mm at a portion corresponding to m dimension, and a length of 15 mm. The resin coating on the core 3 is as described above. Also, in FIG.
The rod-shaped ferrite core shown in FIG. 3 has a very elongated shape and is difficult to form by the powder compression molding method. In the present invention, it is formed by the extrusion molding method. Also,
The present invention is due to the elongated core as described above, and is particularly effective for a core having an outer diameter of 5 mm or less and a length of 10 mm or more. Then, by this extrusion molding, the twisted concave portion can be easily formed. The twisted concave portion is preferably twisted by about 5 degrees or more from one end to the other end.
