Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce light transmission loss and to emit light with high luminance by utilizing a reflecting plate as a light converging means. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder member 1 consists of a lower cylinder 11 installed on the ground and an upper cylinder 12 connected to the lower cylinder 11 and functions as the casing of the display device. Then a top lid 2 covers the upper opening 121 of the upper cylinder 12. This top lid 2 is a transparent body and has light transmissivity. A 1st reflecting plate 3 installed at the upper part of the upper cylinder 12 consists of a concave mirror, and converges the solar light passed through the top lid 2 and reflects it to a 2nd reflecting plate 4. A 2nd reflecting plate 4 arranged at the lower part of the upper cylinder 12 also consists of a concave mirror, and converges the light emitted from the 1st reflecting plate 3 on one point (focus). Further, the opening parts in the side wall surfaces of the cylinders 11 and 12 for optical fibers 5 and 6 constitute light emission display parts 7.
