Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically seam fabrics and improve the availability factor and quality by feeding the termination end section of the first fabric and the start end section of the second fabric to a seam section when all the first fabric is extracted from a winding body, and seaming the termination end section and the start end section of both fabrics with a sewing machine. CONSTITUTION:When a photoelectric tube 30 detects that the residual fabric of a fabric winding body 12 becomes a fixed value or below, the rotating speeds of a driving roller 10 and a feed roller 16 are made about twice the normal speeds, and a fabric 13 with the fixed length is stored on a fabric scler 17. When all the first fabric 13 is extracted and its termination end section droops downward, the driving roller 10 and the feed roller 16 are reversed, and the termination end section is guided into the seam section of a sewing machine. The fabric winding body 12 is rotated by a fabric end dropping means 27, the start end section of the second fabric 13 is dropped downward, and it is judged into the seam section. End sections of both fabrics 13 are held and fixed, then a sewing machine 2 is moved along a guard rail 4 while making a seaming action, and both fabrics 13 are seamed.

2. Description of the Related Art Woven fabrics woven in the weaving process are wound up into lots and made into fabrics of a predetermined length. It enables continuous processing. The jointing of the piece of fabric (referred to as “rejoining”) is performed manually by using an automatic traveling end stitch sewing machine installed along the transport path of the fabric while supplying the fabric to the processing machine. That is, when the remaining amount of the cloth of the piece of cloth currently being supplied to the processing machine becomes small, the worker stands by in front of the sewing machine, and when the switching portion of the piece of cloth passes by the sewing machine, the end of the preceding piece of cloth and the next piece of cloth are passed. The starting end of the sewing machine is pulled up to the sewing position of the sewing machine, and the sewing machine sewes both of them together.

However, since it is general for an operator to handle a plurality of machines (often two machines) by himself, if the timings for switching the cloths overlap, One of the machines had to be stopped, which was an obstacle to improving the operating rate. Further, since the work is performed while the cloth is being transferred, a stitching error is likely to occur, which adversely affects the finish of processing. Therefore, it has been a problem to automate the anti-splice and improve the operation rate and the quality.

A pair of cloth material supporting rollers (supporting means) consisting of a driving roller 10 and a driven roller 11 are provided obliquely above the sewing machine 2, and a cloth winding body (cloth material) 1 is provided thereon.
It is designed to hold 2. The cloth winding body 12 is obtained by winding a cloth 13 of a predetermined length (1 lot) around a winding core 14. When the drive roller 10 of the pair of fabric-supporting rollers rotates in a predetermined direction, the cloth 13 is pulled out from the cloth winding body 12. Fabric roll 12
The cloth 13 pulled out from the cloth 13 is pulled by a feed roller 16 as a transfer means to be horizontally transferred above the sewing machine 2, and further passes over a slide-shaped cloth scrap 17 provided below the feed roller. It is supplied to a processing machine (not shown). A support plate 19 for supporting the cloth 13 being transferred from below is provided in the latter half of the transfer path from the driven roller 11 to the feed roller 16. The end portion of the support plate 19 on the driven roller side is located directly above the sewing portion 2c of the sewing machine 2. In addition, the support plate 19 is set so that the driven roller side becomes lower.
It is preferable to slightly incline so that a slight gap is formed between the fabric 13 and the support plate 19. And
A press roller (2) 20 is provided above the position where the gap is formed.
Is provided so that it can move up and down.

As shown by the chain double-dashed line in FIG. 2, when the photoelectric tube (1) 30 detects that the remaining amount of the cloth on the cloth winding body 12 at the release position C is below a certain level, the drive roller 10 and the feed roller are moved. The rotation speed of the roller 16 becomes about twice as fast as usual, and a fixed length of fabric is stored on the fabric scrap 17 in a folded state. When all the first cloth 13 (1) is pulled out, the photoelectric tube (2) 31 is turned on and the drive roller 10 and the feed roller 16 stop rotating. Then, the press roller (2) 20 descends and the fabric 13
(1) is pressed against the support plate 19. In this state, the rotation speeds of the drive roller 10 and the feed roller 16 are reduced to transfer the cloth 13 (1) at a low speed. Cloth 13 (1)
When the end portion of the drips downward, and this is detected by the photoelectric tube (3) 32, the drive roller 10 and the feed roller 16 are stopped. Next, the drive roller 10 and the feed roller 16 are reversed to move the end portion of the cloth 13 (1) to the sewing portion 2c of the sewing machine.

During the above operation, the cloth winding body 12 having the second cloth 13 (2) wound therein is conveyed to the intermediate position B by the crane 26. Then, when the end portion of the first cloth 13 (1) is introduced into the stitched portion 2c, the cloth winding body 12 at the intermediate position B is rotated counterclockwise by the cloth end hanging means 27 to rotate the second cloth. The starting end of the cloth 13 (2) is hung downward. If the photocell (4) 33 detects the starting end of the second fabric 13 (2), the rotation is stopped once, and then the second fabric 13 (2) is rotated again for a certain period of time.
The leading end portion of the is guided to the suture portion 2c. Next, the press roller (1) 6 moves to the cloth receiving surface 2b side, and both cloths 13 (1,
2) is pressed against the cloth receiving surface 2b, and the ends of both cloths 13 (1, 2) are grasped by the cloth presser 7 (see FIG. 2). When both fabrics 13 (1, 2) are thus fixed, the sewing machine 2 moves along the guide rail 4 while performing the sewing operation and stitches both.
