Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the deviation of read positions on a front and a back and to miniaturize a scanner part by symmetrically positioning light emitting bodies and CCD image sensors on the both surfaces of a paper in the case of simultaneously reading the both surfaces of the paper. CONSTITUTION:This scanner is constituted of the light emitting body 12 for a front surface and the CCD image sensor 13 for the front surface for reading the front surface of an original 11, the light emitting body 15 for a back surface and the CCD image sensor 16 for the back surface for reading the back surface of the original and a polarizing plate 14 for the front surface and the polarizing plate 17 for the back surface for passing light through provided with the planes of polarization in different directions respectively for the front surface and the back surface. The light emitting body for the front surface, the CCD image sensor for the front surface, the light emitting body for the back surface and the CCD image sensor for the back surface are arranged so as to face each other. Since the light emitting bodies and the CCD image sensors are arranged symmetrically at the front and the back, the scanner part can be miniaturized and the deviation of the read positions at the front and the back can be eliminated.

However, in the scanner device for reading both sides at once as shown in FIG. 5, it is necessary to arrange the reading positions 58 so as to be different from each other, so that the scanner device should be miniaturized. I couldn't. Further, if the medium to be read is not on both sides of a sheet of paper but in the shape of a book or the like, there is a problem in that the front and back are misaligned, and the front and back can be read but the back and back cannot be read.

According to the present invention, in order to reduce the size of a scanner device, the same position on both sides of a document is read at the same time without shifting the positions of the front surface light emitter and the back surface light emitter. Configuration and 1. A polarizing plate that polarizes the light emitted from the front surface light emitter and the front surface CCD image sensor and the document, and a back surface between the rear surface light emitter and the back surface CCD image sensor and the original document. A polarizing plate that polarizes the light emitted by the light emitting body is disposed so as to intersect with the polarization plane of the light emitted by the surface light emitting body in a direction perpendicular to each other.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS FIG. 1 is a block diagram of a scanner device according to a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 1, 11 is a document on which information to be read is printed on both sides, and 12 is a document. Surface illuminator to read the information of 11 surfaces,
13 is a surface CCD for reading the light emitted from the surface light emitter 12.
An image sensor, 14 is a front surface polarizing plate for polarizing the light emitted from the front surface light-emitting body 12 and causing the front surface CCD image sensor 13 to read the light having the polarization plane, and 15 is for reading the information on the back surface of the original 11. The light source for the back surface to allow the light to be emitted, 16 is a CCD image sensor for the back surface that reads the light emitted by the light emitter for the back surface 15, and 17 is the light for the light emitted by the light emitter for the back surface 15 and is C for the back surface.
This is a back-side polarizing plate for causing the CD image sensor 16 to read light having the polarization plane. The front-side polarizing plate 14 and the back-side polarizing plate 17 are arranged so that their polarization planes intersect each other perpendicularly. Therefore, both CCD image sensors 13 and 16 are affected by the light emitted from the other and transmitted through the document. Never receive.

Next, the operation will be described. When the original 11 is inserted into the scanner section from the direction of arrow a, the front surface light-emitting body 12 and the back surface light-emitting body 15 emit light at the same time, and the front surface polarization plate 14 and the back surface polarization plate. The respective polarized lights that have passed through 17 are reflected and transmitted on the front surface and the back surface of the original 11, respectively, and are reflected by the front surface polarization plate 14 and the back surface polarization plate 17 and are reflected by the front surface light emitter 12 and the back surface light emitter, respectively.
The reflected light of 15 passes and is read by the front CCD image sensor 13 and the back CCD image sensor 16, respectively. The polarized light emitted from the rear surface light-emitting body 15 or the front surface light-emitting body 12 and transmitted through the original 11 cannot pass through because it has a different polarization plane from the front surface polarization plate 14 or the back surface polarization plate 17, and thus the CCD.
It does not affect the image sensor.

The operation will now be described. When the document 21 is inserted into the scanner section from the direction of arrow a, the front surface light-emitting body 22 and the back surface light-emitting body 24 emit light at the same time, and the front surface CCD image sensor 23 and the back surface CCD respectively. The image sensor 25 reads the front surface and the back surface of the document 21. Of the light emitted from the front surface light-emitting body 22 or the back surface light-emitting body 24, the light transmitted through the original 21 is the back surface CCD image sensor 25 or the front surface CC, respectively.
Although it reaches the D image sensor 23, the wavelength of the light read by the back-side CCD image sensor 25 or the front-side CCD image sensor 23 is different, so the light of the front-side light emitter 22 reaches the back-side CCD image sensor 25, or The light from the light emitter 24 for the back surface does not affect the CCD image sensor 23 for the front surface, and both sides can be read simultaneously.

1. A front surface light emitter and a front surface CCD image sensor for reading the front surface and the back surface of a document simultaneously, and a back surface light emitter and a back surface CCD image sensor for reading the back surface of the document. An image sensor, a front-side polarizing plate that allows light having polarization planes in different directions on the front and back sides to pass therethrough, and a back-side polarizing plate. The front and back light emitters and the CCD image sensor face each other. A scanner device, which is arranged so as to be aligned with each other, and is arranged such that respective polarization planes of the front and back polarizing plates intersect each other vertically, and the same position on the front surface and the back surface of the original is read at the same time.

2. A light-emitting body in which the wavelengths of light emitted from the front and back sides are different so that the front and back sides of a document can be read simultaneously.
CCD image sensors for reading only light of the same wavelength as the light emitted from the light emitters on the same side with respect to the original are provided on the front surface and the back surface, respectively.
A scanner device in which CD image sensors are arranged to face each other to read the same position on the front and back sides of a document at the same time.
