Description of the Related Art A radio selective call receiver used in a plurality of radio selective call services using different radio frequency channels searches a radio frequency band including those radio frequency channels to selectively receive the radio frequency channels. For each sequentially received channel, it is necessary to determine whether or not it is the target radio frequency channel that the own receiver can receive service from. Therefore, each radio frequency channel contains system information for identifying the radio selective calling system, and the receiver stores the system information contained in the sequentially received channels and the system information held by the own receiver. Compare, if it matches, it is determined to be the target channel, the local frequency is fixed and reception of that channel continues, identification of selective calling number information proceeds to reception of display message etc., if not matched, change local frequency Then, the radio frequency channel is switched to the next one. In this case, the time required to receive the minimum unit of the transmitted signal requires several 100 ms per channel.

問題があった。In the above-described radio selective call receiver, when a conventional radio frequency channel is searched for, a channel that is not transmitted (not used) or the received electric field strength is extremely weak and the service is provided. Since the reception state is maintained even for the channels that are not in the available state, the search time becomes long, and the time for searching, for example, 16 radio frequency channels reaches several seconds. Therefore, the probability that a receiver will not be able to receive a call even if there is a call to the radio selective call receiver as the receiver enters the battery saving state later, the battery life is impaired, and the longer it takes to search all radio frequency channels. There was a problem that would be high.

The reception channel control means has a reception channel control means, and when the reception electric field strength is below a certain value, the reception channel control means immediately switches the radio frequency channel to be received to the next radio frequency channel, and the electric field strength exceeds the certain value. When the system information does not match, it switches to the next radio frequency channel. When the system information matches, the radio frequency channel being received is determined as the target reception channel.

If the value of does not exceed the value of, the setting of the receiving channel is immediately switched to the next radio frequency channel, and if the received electric field strength exceeds a certain value, the system information contained in the receiving channel and the system information held by the receiver are compared. When the system information does not match, the setting of the receiving channel is switched to the next radio frequency channel, and when the system information matches, the receiving radio frequency channel is determined as the target radio frequency channel to continue the reception.

Instead of continuously receiving the ringing signal, first detect the reception field strength of the reception channel, and if the level is below a certain level, immediately switch to the next channel, and start when the reception field strength exceeds a certain level. The system information comparison result is checked, and if they do not match, the channel is switched to the next channel, and if they match, it is determined that the channel is the target radio frequency channel, and the process proceeds to reception below the selective call number information.

Only when the strength exceeds a certain level, the system information is checked for a match / mismatch, and if there is a mismatch, it is immediately switched to the next channel, and only the channel for which the system information matches is judged as the target radio frequency channel and selected call. By proceeding to the reception of the number information, the time required for the search to determine the target radio frequency channel is significantly shortened, which prevents battery drain and reduces the probability that reception will not be possible even if there is a call. There is. Further, by storing the coincidence or non-coincidence of the received electric field information and the channel information and using them for re-designating the search order in the next search cycle, there is an effect that the next search can be efficiently performed.

無線選択呼出受信機。1. A radio frequency channel of a plurality of radio selective calling systems, which includes system information for identifying a radio selective calling system, is searched, each radio frequency channel is sequentially switched and received, and the system information is transmitted by its own radio. When it matches the system information held by the selective call receiver, the radio frequency channel being received is determined to be the target radio frequency channel for which reception is to continue. The electric field detection means for detecting the strength, and the reception channel control means for controlling the search of the radio frequency channel to determine the target reception channel, the control means, immediately when the reception electric field strength is less than a certain value When the radio frequency channel to be received is switched to the next radio frequency channel and the electric field strength exceeds the certain value Inquires whether the system information matches or does not match, switches to the next radio frequency channel when the system information does not match, and determines the radio frequency channel being received as the target reception channel when the system information matches. Radio selective call receiver.

る無線周波数チャネルサーチ方法。5. A radio frequency channel of a plurality of radio selective calling systems, which includes system information for identifying the radio selective calling system, is searched, and each radio frequency channel is sequentially switched and received, and the system information is self-radio. In the radio frequency channel search method in the radio selective call receiver, which determines that the radio frequency channel being received is the target radio frequency channel for which reception is to be continued when it matches the system information held by the selective call receiver, The radio frequency channel is set to the reception channel to detect the reception electric field strength, and when the reception electric field strength does not exceed a certain value, immediately switch the reception channel setting to the next radio frequency channel, and the reception electric field strength is When the value exceeds a certain value, the system information contained in the receiving channel and the system information held by the receiver are If the system information does not match, the receiving channel setting is switched to the next radio frequency channel, and if the system information matches, the target radio frequency that should continue receiving the radio frequency channel being received. A radio frequency channel search method in a radio selective call receiver characterized by determining a channel.
