Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent trouble to the call incoming side by clearing the number of times of call reorigination when a disconnect signal is detected before a response is received. CONSTITUTION:A control means 6 inputs an opposite side dial number operated by an operating means 10 and automatically sends this number to a telephone line 4 by controlling an automatic dial means 5. When the response of the party is detected through a tone receiving means 7, the image information of an original or the like passed through an image input/output means 1 is transmitted through a speaking circuit 3 and the line 4 by controlling an image data transmitting/receiving means 2. When the end of facsimile communication is inputted through the means 2, the means 6 outputs a report showing the normal end of instructed communication from the means 1 to a communicated result reporting means 8. When the facsimile communication is not performed with the opposite side equipment even by originating a call to the opposite side equipment, call reorigination is repeated just for the previously set number of times. When a call is originated to the other equipment, the call reorigination to the other relevant equipment is automatically recovered. Thus, the trouble to the call incoming side can be prevented by preventing repeated erroneous call incoming to the same terminal.

2. Description of the Related Art A conventional facsimile machine of this type is disclosed in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2-79548. That is, in this facsimile apparatus, when transmitting image information from the calling side to the receiving side, first, the caller dials the terminal number of the calling party, and the automatic re-calling section is activated. Then, when the other party's terminal which is the call destination does not respond, redialing is performed a predetermined number of times. Also,
If the callee is not the facsimile machine and the number of the ordinary telephone is mistakenly dialed, the corresponding ordinary telephone is called. The call is made. Here, when the operator of the called general telephone responds to the call, a dial tone or the like is heard from the facsimile apparatus on the calling side. When the operator hears this, it judges that the call is a facsimile call and dials a predetermined specific number. The dialed digit information is transmitted to the calling side facsimile machine and received by the numeral receiving monitoring section of the calling side facsimile machine. When the numeral reception monitoring section receives this numeral information, it sends a detection signal to the forced restoration section, and the forced restoration section forcibly restores the automatic re-sending section based on this detection signal, and the display and alarm sound The sender is notified of the mistaken dialing of the other party's terminal number by sending or the like. As a result, redialing to the same terminal based on an erroneously operated dial number is prevented, and the caller can redial the correct partner terminal number.

However, the conventional method for recovering the redialing in the case of making an erroneous call by erroneous dialing is that the called called subscriber sends numerical information to the calling side device after answering the incoming call. However, there is a problem that automatic redialing to the same terminal cannot be restored if such a means for transmitting numerical information is not provided on the receiving side.

When the disconnection of the partner device is detected after the stop of the ringback tone is detected and the call with the partner device is started and the determination in step ST8 is "Y", the process proceeds to ST14 and the clock is started. The time information from the means 9 is obtained and the disconnection time is stored, and whether or not the communication time which is the difference between the call start time in step ST7 and the disconnection time in step ST14 is longer than a predetermined time (for example, 30 seconds) is determined. The judgment is made in step ST15. If the call time is shorter than the predetermined time, it is judged that the terminal, such as another telephone, has received a call due to an erroneous call, not the call to the facsimile machine, and the terminal that responded to the call has been disconnected, and step ST1

As described above, the dialing is performed to detect the response of the partner device, the disconnection signal is detected before receiving the facsimile response signal from the partner device that responded, and the time from the response to disconnection is less than the predetermined time. If not, the number of times of recall is cleared as an erroneous call due to erroneous dialing, and the same device is prevented from making a call again. As a result, erroneous dialing based on erroneous dialing is reliably detected, and subsequent redialing to the same terminal device can be prevented, so that it is possible to prevent annoyance to the called party due to erroneous incoming call and reduce telephone charges and network load. Will be possible. In addition,
In the present embodiment, when the disconnection signal is detected before the reception of the facsimile response signal from the partner device, if the time from the response to the disconnection is the predetermined time or more, redialing is performed. It may be configured to clear the number of re-calls and prevent re-calling even in the case of a predetermined time or more.

As described above, according to the present invention,
When the disconnection signal of this terminal is detected before the facsimile response signal is received from the responding terminal, the number of recalled calls set by the recalling call setting means is cleared, so that the called party is called again. Even if the means for sending out numerical information for stopping is not provided, the subsequent re-call to the same terminal is restored, and therefore, repeated false call to the same terminal due to false call is prevented, and it is annoying to the called party. There is an effect that the telephone charge can be reduced and the load on the network can be reduced. Also, if the disconnection signal of the terminal is detected before receiving the facsimile response signal from the responding terminal and the time from the response of the terminal to the disconnection is shorter than the predetermined time, the number of recalled calls is cleared, so There is an effect that false calls can be detected to prevent re-calls.
