Various accessories are built into the circuit breaker according to its purpose and application. This accessory includes an auxiliary switch that electrically detects the open or closed state of the main contact of the circuit breaker.
There are an alarm switch that electrically detects that the circuit is automatically interrupted by an overcurrent, a voltage trip device that trips the circuit breaker from a distance, or an undervoltage trip device that trips the circuit breaker when the voltage drops. In recent years, with the spread of automation of various equipments, there are more and more cases where accessories are incorporated into a circuit breaker. FIG. 7 shows a conventional example of an auxiliary switch as an example of the representative of the above accessories. The auxiliary switch (micro switch) 21 is supported by a base 22 and is mounted in the outer box of the circuit breaker by screws 23. At that time, the actuator 24 is located close to and above the movable contactor (not shown) of the circuit breaker, and transmits the opening / closing operation of the movable contactor to the contact of the auxiliary switch 21.

However, in such a conventional configuration, since the accessories are incorporated in the outer box of the wiring breaker, there are the following problems. (1) When incorporating accessories into a circuit breaker that has been adjusted and tested, the cover must be removed, which is troublesome. (2) Since it is installed in the vicinity of the exposed opening / closing mechanism and the tripping mechanism, meticulous attention is required in the work so as not to damage them, and the work is limited to skilled personnel. This device can be easily assembled from the outside of the outer box without removing the breaker's cover, it does not take time and the accessory attachment of the circuit breaker for wiring does not damage the opening and closing mechanism etc. The purpose is to provide a device.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a state in which an auxiliary switch as an accessory is attached to the breaker 1 for wiring. The wiring breaker 1 is configured by accommodating a not-shown breaking mechanism in an outer casing made of a molded resin composed of a case 2 and a cover 3, and is turned on / off by an operation handle 4 at the center of the upper surface of the cover 3.
It is designed to be operated. The auxiliary switch is housed in the accessory case 5, is housed in the accessory housing portion formed in the cover 3 from above, and is covered with the lid plate 6, as described later. 2 and 3 show the auxiliary switch housed in the accessory case 5, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the external appearance, and FIG.
The figure is a sectional view taken along the line III-III. First, in FIG. 3, the accessory case 5 is a box whose bottom surface is open, and an auxiliary switch (micro switch) 6 is attached to the side wall of the accessory case 5 with screws 7. An L-shaped actuator 8 is swingably supported by the accessory case 5 at one end 8a, and an operation end 8b at the other end projects downward from the open surface of the accessory case 5. The actuator 8 is urged by a return spring 9 to push the push button 6 of the auxiliary switch 6.
A is constantly pressed. Further, 10 is a terminal, 11 is a lead wire soldered to the terminal 10, and the lead wire 11 is guided horizontally to the front side of the drawing and then led out from the open surface of the accessory case 5 as described later. To be done. As shown in FIG. 2, the accessory case 5 has a convex portion 5 on one side.
a is provided, and protrusions 5b extending vertically are formed at both ends of the convex portion 5a. A label indicating the rating of the accessory is attached to the front surface of the convex portion 5a. In addition, a shallow wide groove 5c is formed on the upper surface of the accessory case 5 across the left and right. In addition, 11 is a lead wire mentioned above. FIG. 4 shows an accommodating portion for accessories, which is formed in the outer box of the circuit breaker 1. That is, in the cover 3, the upper wall 3 a and the side wall 3 b are cut out in accordance with the contour of the accessory case 5, and the accessory housing portions 12 are defined at two positions on both sides of the operation handle 4. This accessory housing 12
Is enclosed by a partition wall on the side facing the inside of the circuit breaker outer casing, but a window hole 13 is formed in the bottom partition wall.
The movable contactor 14 of the wiring breaker 1 is exposed. A groove 15 is formed in the cutout end of the upper wall 3a over the entire length. The ridges 16a at both ends of the lid plate 16 that closes the upper surface of the accessory accommodating portion 12 are inserted into the groove 15.
An engaging portion 16b that engages with the groove 5c on the upper surface of the accessory case 5 is formed on the lower surface of the lid plate 16 as described later. Further, a groove 17 is formed over the entire length at the cutout end of the side wall 3b. The ridges 18a at both ends of the lid plate 18 that closes the side surface of the accessory storage portion 12 are inserted into the groove 17. Furthermore, the front surface of the side wall 3b and the side wall 2a of the case 2 are matched with the width of the cutout portion of the side wall 3b of the case 3.
A recess 19 for accommodating the lead wire 11 of the auxiliary switch 6 is provided on the front surface of the auxiliary switch 6 as described later. Now, in such a configuration, the accessory case 5 of FIG. 2 in which the auxiliary switch 6 is accommodated is inserted into the accessory accommodating portion 12 by inserting the protrusion 5b into the groove 17 at the cutout end of the side wall of the cover. At that time, the operation end portion 8b of the actuator 8 is attached to the window hole 1
3 is inserted into the circuit breaker and pressed against the upper surface of the movable contactor 14 in the open state. As a result, the actuator 8 is lifted up against the return spring 9, and the push button 6a of the auxiliary switch 6 is opened. When the movable contact 14 is closed, the actuator 8 is pushed by the return spring 9 to return to the state shown in FIG. 3, and the push button 6a is pushed. When the accessory case 5 is stored, the lid plate 16 is fitted into the cover upper wall 3a by inserting the protrusion 16a into the groove 15 at the cutout end of the cover upper wall from the side of the cover 3. Engagement portion 16b on the lower surface of the cover plate with the cover plate 16 fully pushed
Engages with the groove 5c on the upper surface of the accessory case 5. This engagement is performed by giving elasticity to the cover plate 16 and elastically deforming the cover plate 16 by the protrusion height of the engaging portion 16b in the process of fitting. FIG. 5 is a sectional view taken along the line VV in FIG. 1 in a state in which the accessory case 5 is thus housed in the cover 3 and the cover plate 16 is further fitted therein. In this state, the accessory case 5 is pressed from above by the cover plate 16, and the cover plate 16 is prevented from being pulled out to the side due to the engagement with the accessory case 5. When the accessory is not needed, the accessory accommodating portion 12 has a cover plate 16,
Covered by 18. That is, in FIG. 4, first, the lid plate 18 is inserted into the groove 17 by fitting it into the groove 17, and then fitted into the notch end of the side wall of the cover, and then the lid plate 16 is fitted into the notch end of the upper wall. During the fitting process, the cover plate 16 is elastically deformed by the protruding height of the engaging portion 16b, so that the cover plate 16 can pass over the upper surface of the cover plate 18.
FIG. 6 shows a state in which the accessory accommodating portion 12 is thus covered. In this state, the lid plate 18 is pressed from above by the lid plate 16, and the lid plate 16 is engaged with the engaging portion 16b.
Engages with the lid plate 18 to prevent lateral withdrawal. The lid plates 16 and 18 can be easily removed by prying with a driver or the like.

According to this invention, the accessory of the circuit breaker for wiring can be assembled only by fitting it from the outside of the outer box without removing the cover, and the work is easy. Further, since the opening / closing mechanism and the like are not exposed, there is no fear of damaging them, and even an unskilled person can work. Further, even when it is desired to change the accessory to another specification, the engaging portion can be removed by a driver or the like, and the accessory can be easily replaced with another accessory.
