Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect sheets jamming in an automatic cutter by forming a hinge mechanism out of one side of a sheet guide at this side of the automatic cutter. A part of the upper sheet guide 5 is formed into a flag shape 5a, and it shields a light transmitting type sensor at all times. Once sheet jamming takes place, a sheet is crushed into an accordion shape, so that the upper sheet guide 5 is thereby pushed up against the spring force of the spring 7.
