2. Description of the Related Art In an optical endoscope, an eyepiece device is connected to a main body operation section. This eyepiece device has a lens barrel having an eyepiece mounted in a cylindrical body. An eyepiece window is formed at the end of the tubular body. A cover glass is attached to the eyepiece window to keep the inside airtight. To mount the cover glass, a step is provided on the inner peripheral wall portion of the tubular body where the eyepiece window is formed, and a ring-shaped rising wall is formed on the inner side portion of the cylindrical body, so that the cover glass can be changed from the outside to the eyepiece window. It is inserted and fitted so as to abut against this rising wall, and the cover glass is fixed and the inside of the tubular main body by interposing an adhesive at the joint surface portion between this cover glass and the wall surface of the tubular main body. I try to keep it airtight.

The joint surface between the cover glass and the cylindrical body is the joint surface between the outer peripheral surface of the cover glass and the rising wall thereof, and a sufficient joint surface cannot always be obtained. There is a problem that the integrity of can not be maintained. Moreover, when the cover glass is attached to the eyepiece window, it is only fixed with an adhesive and cannot be sufficiently stabilized in the fixed state. There is also a problem that there is a possibility that

In order to achieve the above object, the eyepiece device of the present invention has an annular shape in which the outer surface of the cover glass is in contact with the peripheral wall portion forming the eyepiece opening of the cylindrical main body. Tightening with a stepped structure with abutting walls, a thread groove provided on the inner surface of the inner wall of the peripheral wall, a threaded portion formed on the outer surface of the peripheral body, and an inward joint surface formed on the tip. By screwing the ring into the thread groove, the cover glass is sandwiched between the joint surface portion of the tightening ring and the contact wall, and a sealing material is provided on the contact surface between the cover glass and the wall portion and the tightening ring. It is characterized in that it is configured to be filled with.

With this structure, the joint surface portion of the cover glass becomes the joint surface portion of the contact wall of the cylindrical main body and the tightening ring in addition to the outer peripheral surface thereof, so that the joint area becomes extremely large. Therefore, by interposing a sealant on all the contact surfaces of the cover glass, the inside of the cylindrical main body can be surely kept airtight. Moreover, since the cover glass is sandwiched between the contact wall and the joint surface portion of the tightening ring, the cover glass is securely and firmly fixed.

The present embodiment is constructed as described above, and in assembling the eyepiece device 10 to the main body operating portion 1, first, the seal material 25 is applied to the inner peripheral wall 20a and the contact wall 20b in advance. In addition, the seal member 26 and, if necessary, the seal member 27 are attached in advance. In this state, the cover glass 21 is inserted from the inside of the tubular main body 11, the cover glass 21 is fitted to the inner peripheral wall 20a of the eyepiece window 20, and is brought into contact with the contact wall 20b. After that, the tightening ring 23 is inserted from the inside of the tubular main body 11, and the screw portion 24 provided on the cylindrical portion 23 a is screwed into the thread groove 22. Bonding surface portion 23 of this tightening ring 23
The seal material 25 is applied to b in advance. When the tightening ring 23 is driven in by a predetermined amount, the joint surface portion 23b comes into contact with the inner surface of the cover glass 21 and the cover glass 2
1 is pushed in the direction of pressing against the contact wall 20b.

As a result, the cover glass 21 is fixed while being sandwiched between the contact wall 20b and the joint surface portion 23b. In addition, they are in close contact with each other via the sealing material 25, and the sealing member 26 (when the sealing member 27 is provided, this sealing member 27
It also bends and exerts a sealing function. in this way,
On both the front and back surfaces and the end surface of the outer peripheral portion of the cover glass 21,
The sealing material 25 is interposed in the largest possible area within the range that does not obstruct the visual field of the eyepiece lens 12.
In addition, since the seal members 26 and 27 having elasticity are mounted, the mounting portion of the cover glass 21 is kept completely airtight. Moreover, since the cover glass 21 is firmly fixed, even if external force is applied to it,
There is no possibility that airtight leakage will occur due to separation from the sealing material 25. Further, the eyepiece 1 on the outer surface of the cover glass 21
Since the contact wall 20b covers a region unnecessary for the second field of view, the portion of the cover glass 21 in contact with the outside air can be reduced, and the occurrence of fogging can be reduced.

When the cover glass 21 is mounted as described above, the spring 19 and the lens barrel 13 are attached to the cylindrical main body 11.
Is mounted, the cam ring 16 is fitted to the lens barrel 13, the cam pin 14 is mounted, and the operation ring 18 is attached to assemble the eyepiece device 10, and the eyepiece device 10 is connected to the connection tube 2 of the main body operation unit 1. But for these,
As in the conventional technique, an appropriate method can be used, and thus a detailed description thereof will be omitted.

In this way, the eyepiece device 1 is attached to the main body operation unit 1.
0 is connected, but the eyepiece device 10 is designed to keep the inside airtight by the seal members S provided at required positions in FIG. In conjunction with this, the portion of the eyepiece window 20 to which the cover glass 21 is attached has the structure described above that is completely airtight, and therefore is in communication with the inside of the eyepiece device 10. The inside of the main body operation unit 1 can be kept completely airtight, and the cleaning liquid and the like do not enter inside when the endoscope is immersed in the cleaning liquid to clean the endoscope. Moreover, since the surface of the cover glass 21 is exposed to the outside, there is an opportunity to apply an external force to separate it from the eyepiece window 20 and the sealing material 25 may come into contact with a contaminant or the like. However,
Since the cover glass 21 is sandwiched between the abutment wall 20b and the joint surface portion 23b, there is no risk of peeling, and the front and back surfaces of the cover glass 21 are attached to the abutment wall 20b and the joint surface portion 23b by the action of the tightening ring 23. Since it is in close contact with, there is no risk of contaminants entering between them.

By the way, when an endoscope is used, the diopter adjustment is appropriately performed according to the operator. For this diopter adjustment, the operation ring 18 is rotated and the lens barrel having the eyepiece lens 12 is mounted. This is done by moving 13 along the inner surface of the tubular body 11. Since the tightening ring 23 is located between the lens barrel 13 and the eyepiece window 20, the tightening ring 23 causes the lens barrel 13 to move.
Movement must not be restricted. However,
Since the inner diameter of the cylindrical portion 23a of the tightening ring 23 is formed larger than the outer diameter of the end portion of the lens barrel 13,
The lens barrel 13 can be displaced to a position closest to the cover glass 21 without interfering with the tightening ring 23. Therefore, the tightening ring 23 is attached to the lens barrel 1.
3 is provided between the eyepiece device 3 and the eyepiece window 20 in order to secure the movement stroke of the lens barrel 13.
It is not necessary to increase the length in the 0 axis direction.

As described above, according to the present invention, the cover glass to be mounted on the eyepiece window of the cylindrical main body has the mounting portion having a step structure, and the outer surface of the cover glass is in contact with the contact wall. Is formed, and is fixed in a state of being sandwiched between this and the joining surface formed on the tightening ring, and the joining of the abutment part and the tightening ring with the stepped wall portion of this cover glass Since the sealing material is interposed between the surface and the surface, the cover glass can be held in an extremely stable state, and the area for mounting the sealing material to keep the inside airtight can be widened. When the entire endoscope including the eyepiece device is immersed in the cleaning solution for cleaning, the cleaning solution can be reliably prevented from entering the inside.
