Abstract

PURPOSE:To defoam a dental material without using a vacuum agitator and vibrator by agitating the triturated matter of the dental material with a defoaming device formed by mounting a handle part to an antifoam member having a curved surface. CONSTITUTION:This defoaming device 10 consists of the antifoam member 11 having the curved surface, such as hemispherical surface or spherical body and the bar-shaped handle part 12. Many air bubbles 21 are generated in the triturated matter 22 according to trituration when the dental material is put into a bowl 23 for mixing having a hermispherical inside surface and is mixed by a spatula, etc. The air bubbles are efficiently eliminated when the antifoam member 11 is partly sunk into the triturated matter 22 and is gently stroked to agitate the triturated matter 22 at this time.

The above dental material is used by mixing and kneading a single material or a plurality of materials with water or a liquid suitable for the purpose. However, since a large number of bubbles are generated in the filling material immediately after stirring and mixing and kneading, for example, a dental model material, a dental implant material, a dental impression material, etc. may be used with a vibrator or evacuated. It is common to use a vacuum stirrer that stirs while suppressing the generation of bubbles.

[0008] Usually, when a dental material is put in a mixing ball 23 having an inner surface of a hemispherical shape and mixed with a spatula or the like, a large number of air bubbles 21 are generated in the kneaded product 22 with kneading. At this time, if a portion of the defoaming member 11 is submerged in the kneaded product 22 and stirred so as to be stroked, the bubbles can be efficiently extinguished.

Although the present invention does not limit the material of the defoaming member 11, it is preferable that the defoaming member 11 has poor wettability so that the dental material does not easily adhere thereto, and it is made of rubber or various plastics such as fluororesin or polyester resin. Examples thereof include those coated with. The present invention is not limited to the type of dental material and can be applied to materials that generate bubbles by kneading, and examples thereof include dental model materials, dental investment materials, and dental impression materials.

The dental material as exemplified above is a defoamer 1
When the mixture is stirred with 0, the thixotropic effect of the kneaded product is developed, and the fluidity of the kneaded product is increased, whereby the bubbles in the kneaded product are moved to the upper surface to be defoamed, and the kneading is performed. By uniformly spreading the object along the curved surface of the defoaming member, the bubbles rise and are crushed, and the bubbles are effectively defoamed. Moreover, since the surface of the defoaming member is formed as a curved surface, bubbles are not regenerated, and the bubbles can be discharged from the kneaded product by the movement of the defoaming member.

Although the present invention does not limit the size of the defoaming member, it is preferable that the defoaming member has a diameter of about 20 to 50 mm for good operability and stirring without regenerating bubbles. As shown in (a), (b) and (C), it is also possible to use a stirring surface having a curved surface.

(Experimental Example 1) 50 g of cemented anhydrite powder and 12 g of water were placed in a mixing ball having a diameter of 105 mm and kneaded by a spatula for 60 seconds (only by hand kneading), using a vibrator after the above steps. Method for defoaming for 30 seconds (conventional method), Method for defoaming and kneading for 30 seconds using the defoamer according to the present invention having a plastic spherical defoaming member having a diameter of 50 mm after the above steps (the present method The difference in the defoaming effect was compared for three types of invention examples). The stirring and mixing were repeated 5 times, the number of bubbles and the total area of bubbles were measured, and the frequency distribution of the equivalent circular diameter was examined.
The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2 and FIGS.
