By the way, according to the above-described conventional banknote identification device 1, the banknote insertion slot 3 indicates the arrow A.
When water drops such as rainwater or viscous liquids such as detergents are poured in, the liquids flow around the bottom plate 7 forming the bottom surface of the apparatus main body 2 as shown by arrows, and It leaks from the lower side of the apparatus main body 2 and flows into the inside of a device such as a vending machine in which the bill validator 1 is mounted. When such a sticky liquid such as detergent flows into a device such as a vending machine, the liquid will cause various driving devices, printed wiring boards, electronic devices, etc. disposed inside the device. On the other hand, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, conventionally, as described in US Pat. No. 5,156,250, the bottom face of the bill insertion slot is formed in a curved shape, and the curved bottom member is formed. A device in which a bill discharge device is formed by forming a liquid discharge means composed of a plurality of slit holes, and discharging the liquid put into the bill insertion slot from the lower surface of the bill insertion slot via this liquid discharge means. It has been proposed to prevent liquids from entering the inside, but in this conventional example, since the liquids discharging means is formed only in the bill insertion slot, liquids should be stored in the bill validator. However, if there is an intrusion, it cannot be discharged.
Further, in this conventional example, since the bottom surface of the bill insertion slot is formed in a curved shape, it is difficult to insert a bill.

As described above, according to the bill discriminating apparatus of the present invention, even if water drops such as rainwater or sticky liquid such as detergent is poured from the bill insertion slot, the liquid is first billed. Quickly discharged to the outside of the bill validator through the liquid discharge hole formed on the inclined surface that constitutes the bottom surface of the insertion slot,
Further, the liquid matter that has entered the bill validator is quickly mounted on the bill validator through a liquid matter collecting section arranged on the bottom surface of the apparatus main body and a liquid matter guiding means connected to the liquid matter collecting section. Since it is discharged to the outside of the device, liquids poured from the bill insertion slot will adhere to various devices such as drive members installed inside the device equipped with the bill validator and cause its operation to be defective. In addition, the device equipped with the bill validator can be effectively protected against a malicious mischief in which a liquid such as detergent is poured, and the deterioration of the function can be prevented as much as possible. Moreover, since the bottom surface of the coin insertion slot is a simple inclined surface, the insertability of the bill from the coin insertion slot is not deteriorated.
