Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a lens barrel which is not made larger even when a battery is incorporated therein. CONSTITUTION:A battery case 18 constituting a battery housing chamber is arranged near the trailing edge of the lens barrel (front of a backmost lens and ahead of a mount 2), and the axial line of the battery 19 is made parallel with one side of the aperture of a camera main body, etc., in the battery housing chamber. By such constitution, the battey case 18 is made as close as possible to the optical axis of a lens, so that the diameter of the lens barrel is prevented from becoming larger. Then, a large space for a lens mechanism is secured in front of the battery case 18.

In the above-mentioned lens barrel of the prior art, if the battery is arranged with its longitudinal direction in the same direction as the optical axis, a large space is required in the optical axis direction, and the vicinity of the battery is in the optical axis direction. It is not possible to arrange a moving lens barrel with a large amount of movement or an external operation ring that rotates around the optical axis,
There is a drawback that the lens barrel becomes large due to the protruding battery portion and the large outer diameter.

Further, when the battery is arranged so that its longitudinal direction is at right angles to the optical axis, a large space can be taken in the optical axis direction, so that the battery can be rotated around the member moving in the optical axis direction or the optical axis. Both members can be arranged at more appropriate positions in terms of performance and operability. However, in order to cover the battery in which the longitudinal direction is arranged in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, it is necessary to increase the outer diameter, and there is a drawback that the lens barrel is large and has a large open aperture value.

[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problem (to realize a lens barrel with a built-in battery that is smaller and lighter than the lens barrel of the prior art), in the lens barrel according to the present invention, the battery storage location is near the rear end of the lens barrel. The rod-shaped battery is arranged such that its longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens barrel and in a plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the lens barrel, and is attached to the lens barrel. The battery is arranged such that at least one side of the aperture of the camera body is aligned or parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rod-shaped battery.

According to the lens barrel of the present invention having the above-described structure, the space in the optical axis direction can be increased in the lens barrel, so that the lens frame that can move a large amount without increasing the total length of the lens barrel. Can be arranged, when a rotating member such as an operating ring is arranged, the rotation angle of the rotating member can be increased, and the lens barrel can be downsized because the battery can be arranged near the optical axis. The large free space allows the lens barrel with excellent operability and design to be realized.

As described above, according to the lens barrel of the present invention, the space in the optical axis direction can be increased in the lens barrel, so that the movement amount can be increased without increasing the total length of the lens barrel. A large lens frame can be arranged, when a rotating member such as an operation ring is arranged, the rotation angle of the rotating member can be increased, and the lens can be downsized because the battery can be arranged near the optical axis. Since the free space in the optical axis direction is large, it is possible to achieve a lens barrel with excellent operability and design.
