ーシング2に回動可能に取付けられている。そして、蓋
体3の係合用凸部5とケーシング2の係止用孔部6とに
より、蓋体3が閉じるようになっているが、頻繁な開閉
により凸部5と孔部6とで塵埃が発生する。このような
部分での発塵は、収納した高密度磁気媒体に悪影響を与
えた。例えば、高密度磁気媒体面に塵埃が付着し、ドロ
ップアウト等の原因を引き起こしていた。特にオーディ
オテープ等では磁気記録媒体が剥き出しとなっているた
めその影響が大きかった。またシャッターやリッド等が

ケース等を車中高温下(90℃〜)に放置すると変形す
るという問題もあった。

返し開閉による発塵が減少し、磁気記録媒体のドロップ
アウトの増加を抑制する。更に、ケース素材の軟化点も
上昇し、温度90℃に達する車中においてもケース変形
が防止できる。
