Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out the welding by one kind of tool horn irrespective of a pat shape of a joining end part of the molded products to be molded. CONSTITUTION:In a joining method wherein joining end parts of both molded products 1, 2 which are obtained by allowing one side joining end part 4 to insert or screw on to the other side joining part 3 of the molded products 1, 2 molded respectively of a thermoplastic material into a hollow cylindrical state are welded through an ultrasonic wave, the molded products 1, 2 are positioned on a main body table A of an ultrasonic device right under an ultrasonic oscillator C installed movablly freely vertically on the upper part of the main body table A and held by setting and positioning in a crossing state to its vertical movement direction. Then the ultrasonic oscillation is transmitted to a space between the joining end parts 3, 4 of both molded products 1, 2 through a tool horn D fitted to the lower end of the ultrasonic oscillator C. ル上にセット保持させて、接合端部の口縁全周を超音波
溶着する様にしていた。然るに、従来のは接合方法は、
成形品の接合端部の口形に合わせた略同一形状に形成さ
れた工具ホーンを超音波振動子の下端に装着せしめて、
両成形品の接合端部の口縁全周間に超音波振動を伝達せ
しめて該口縁全周間に摩擦熱を生じさせて溶着する様に
していた。従って、従来の接合方法では成形品の接合端
部の口形(成形品の輪切り断面形状)に合わせた形状の
数種の工具ホーンを夫々製作し準備しなければならない
ことから、その設備管理が大変であると同時に、形状の
異なる個々の工具ホーンを夫々保管しなければならない
と言った面倒で手間の掛かる管理が必要となるものであ
った。又、溶着される成形品の接合端部の口形に合わせ
て超音波振動子下端への工具ホーンの取換えが必要とな
ることから、その段取りに時間が掛かり、生産効率に影
響をもたらす等、数々の問題を有していた。

形品1,2の接合端部3,4間を瞬間的に溶融せしめて
当該部5を溶着するものである(図1乃至図2参照)。

ば、溶着される成形品の接合端部の口形に関係なく、即
ち従来接合方法の様に成形品の接合端部の口形(成形品
の輪切り断面形状)に合わせた形状の数種の工具ホーン
を夫々製作し準備すると言った必要が全くなく、一種類
の工具ホーンにより接合端部の口形が異なる全ての成形
品の該接合端部同志の溶着が可能となることから、設備
管理の軽減と生産能率の向上を図る得る。

ている超音波振動子の真下に位置させ且つその上下動方
向に対して交差状に位置させてセット保持し、超音波振
動子の下端に装着した工具ホーンを通して両成形品の接
合端部間に超音波振動を伝達する様にしたことを特徴し
する超音波溶着による接合方法。
