Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove dust attaching to an outer periphery, etc., of a louver by switching suction and discharge of a fan at an interval of a fixed time in an electronic apparatus which forcibly cools an interior of a device by providing a fine louver, etc., to an outside of the fan. CONSTITUTION:A control part 11 switches a rotation direction of a fan 2 by a fan driver 12 at an interval of a fixed time which is counted by a timer 10. In case the fan 2 is to discharge, air flows as shown by arrows B, and dust attaches to an outer periphery of a louver 4 and can be removed by switching wind direction of the fan 2.

2. Description of the Related Art In a device, a power source having a large capacity, a high-speed CPU, etc. are sources of heat generation. When it is not possible to cool with natural air cooling, forced air cooling is performed by discharging or suctioning with a fan. However, if air is discharged or sucked in by a fan for a long period of time, dust, dust, etc. will adhere to the periphery of the louver, which is the air suction part, to block the louver and reduce the cooling effect, resulting in a delay in device response or a malfunction. Was becoming. Even if it is left unattended and the temperature inside the apparatus further rises, the abnormal temperature rise detection means provided inside the apparatus automatically turns off the power. Moreover, in today's equipment, the opening of the louver is made as small as possible in terms of safety standards or radio wave regulations, and a net-like filter is attached to the back side of the louver, making it easy for dust and dust to block the opening. . Therefore, it was necessary to regularly clean the dust adhering to the user. However, it is rare for the user to clean it, and in most cases, when a problem occurs due to clogging of the louver, mesh filter, etc. and the temperature inside the device becomes high, a serviceman is called for maintenance.

The problem that occurs when the inside of the apparatus becomes hot due to the closing of the opening, which is the suction port for the outside air, is serious. Therefore, there has been a strong demand for a device that can automatically remove the clogging of a louver or a mesh filter without bothering a user or a service person.

1 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of the present invention, in which 1 is a main body, 2 is a fan, 3 and 4 are louvers, 5 is a power supply unit, 6 is a line, an image processing unit, a control unit and the like. Boards (plurality), 7 are fan mounting screws, and the figure shows a state in which the upper cover is removed. In FIG. 1, for example, if the fan is a suction type, the air flow is in the direction of arrow A. The outside air enters from the louver 3 and flows in the device in the direction of the arrow A and is exhausted to the outside of the device by the louver 4, so that the warm air in the device is exhausted and the inside of the device is maintained at a constant temperature.

FIG. 2 is a detailed view of the fan unit shown in FIG. The outside air is sucked in from the louver 3, but dust and dust 8 are also sucked in and are attached to the outer periphery of the louver 3 as shown in FIG. 3 (a), or attached to the mesh filter 9 as shown in FIG. 3 (b). And close the opening.

Therefore, the dust and dust 8 are removed by switching the wind direction of the fan 2 from suction to discharge before the dust and dust 8 block the openings of the louver 3 and the mesh filter 9. Control of wind direction switching (not shown)
The suction, discharge, and suction are sequentially switched at preset time intervals. Further, in FIG. 1, if the fan 2 discharges, the air flow is in the direction of arrow B, and dust and dust 8 adhere to the outer periphery of the louver 4 or the mesh filter 9, so that the wind direction of the fan 2 is switched in the same manner as described above. Can be removed.

(Other Embodiments) In the above-described embodiment, the wind direction is switched by the control unit at regular time intervals. However, a temperature sensor is provided in the device so that the opening is closed when the temperature inside the device exceeds a certain temperature. Therefore, the wind direction may be switched for a certain period of time to remove dust, dust, and the like.

Industrial Applicability As described above, dust, dust, and the like adhering to the louver that sucks in the outside air can be automatically removed by changing the wind direction of the fan, so that the inside of the device can be maintained at a constant temperature at all times due to abnormal temperature rise. Device troubles can be prevented.
