画像形成装置。
1. An apparatus main body comprising an image forming process means including a photoconductor and a gear train for transmitting power from a driving source to a plurality of predetermined image forming processes, an upper structure and a lower structure. In the image forming apparatus in which the upper structure is rotatable and openable with respect to the lower structure, the gear train is divided into two parts corresponding to the division of the upper structure and the lower structure. Then, one of the connecting gears of the divided portion is swingably supported as a swing gear by a swing lever, and a rotatable lock that keeps the upper structure and the lower structure in a locked state when closed. An image forming apparatus, wherein a lever and a latch are provided so as to be engageable and disengageable, and a connecting lever for interlocking the swing lever and the lock lever is provided.

ーを全て上部構造体又は下部構造体の何れか一方の構造
体に配設したことを特徴とする請求項1記載の画像形成
装置。

【請求項3】 ラッチからロックレバーが離脱する時に
揺動ギアを他方の連結ギアから充分に遊離させる係合突
出量を有して、上部構造体を閉じる際に前記ロックレバ
ーを一旦離脱方向に回動させるように前記ラッチが干渉
する干渉部をこのロックレバーの一部に形成したことを
特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の画像形成装置。
3.
