However, in such a sheet feeding device of the conventional packaging machine, since the upper and lower clamping pieces extending in the sheet feeding direction are wrapped around the both sides of the packaging sheet, The folds of the body wrap become parallel to the sheet feeding direction, and then the contents must be transported in a direction orthogonal to the folds of the body wrapping in order to fold the ears, and the sheet feeding direction and the fold folding direction are orthogonal to each other. As a result, there is a problem that the entire device becomes large in the direction orthogonal to the selvage folding direction.

Further, since the feed belt and the upper and lower sandwiching pieces are respectively provided laterally in the sheet feeding direction so as to face both sides of the packaging sheet, a drive portion for the feed belt is also required in addition to these, and only that much. There is a problem that the structure becomes complicated and the cost becomes high.

1. At the same time that the tip of the packaging sheet is fed from the sheet supporting means upstream of the sheet feeding direction in the sheet feeding direction, the packaging sheet is supported on the sliding surface by moving the sliding surface in the sheet feeding direction and pulling it out. As it is hung on the downstream side sheet supporting means without sagging downward, the packaging sheet can be fed without being supported in the sheet feeding direction.

Therefore, as compared with the conventional one in which both sides of the packaging sheet are sandwiched by the upper and lower sandwiching pieces extending in the sheet feeding direction, the folds of the body winding are made orthogonal to the sheet feeding direction and the sheet feeding direction and the ear are folded. The folding transfer direction can be the same direction, the entire device can be downsized in the direction orthogonal to the edge folding transfer direction, and the feed belt and the upper and lower sandwiching pieces are horizontally provided in the sheet feeding direction so as to face both sides of the packaging sheet. Since it is not necessary, the structure can be simplified and the cost can be reduced accordingly.
