(Prior Art) Cancer is an extremely important disease for humankind, and there is no sign that the number of deaths due to cancer will decrease. Cancer treatment methods include surgical therapy, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. These treatment methods are selected depending on the site, type, and progress of cancer, and many successful cases have been observed.

However, surgical therapy not only leaves surgical marks, but if cancer cells are left behind, there is a risk of recurrence. In addition, radiation therapy can be expected to cure completely in tongue cancer, laryngeal cancer, etc.
It is said that the therapeutic effect disappears when the sensitivity to radiation decreases during treatment. Thus, although many treatments have been developed for cancer, it is still in a situation where complete cure is not possible.

(Operation) A patient is housed in the treatment tank 1, and while the breathing of the patient is ensured by the inhaler 3, the atmospheric pressure in the treatment tank 1 is increased to increase the patient's body temperature to a limit value of human body temperature of 42 to 43 ° C.
And maintain this body temperature to kill or destroy cancer cells. The treatment time and the number of treatments are not specified, and may be appropriately selected depending on the medical condition.

In the figure, a bed 2 for treating a patient is provided in a treatment tank 1. An inhaler 3 for ensuring the breathing of the patient is connected to the treatment tank 1, and an inhalation port 4 of the inhaler 3 is pressed against the mouth of the patient. The gas supplied from the absorption device 3 is a mixed gas of oxygen, nitrogen, helium, carbon dioxide, etc., necessary for life support.

To perform treatment in the apparatus of the embodiment, the patient is placed in the treatment tank 1 and the pressure booster 5 is used to raise the air pressure in the tank. When the atmospheric pressure in the tank rises, the body temperature of the patient rises and rises close to the limit temperature at which humans can survive. Therefore, if this limit temperature, that is, the body temperature is maintained at 42 to 43 ° C., the cancer cells die or are destroyed.

The atmospheric pressure in the treatment tank 1 is monitored by the atmospheric pressure control device 7. When the atmospheric pressure rises too much and the body temperature of the patient exceeds the limit of survival, the decompression device 6 lowers the atmospheric pressure to control the increase in the body temperature. .

Since the treatment according to the present invention raises the body temperature of the patient by raising the atmospheric pressure in the treatment tank, there is a risk that the patient will become a diving disease depending on the change in atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the mixed gas used to maintain the life of the patient is preferably a mixed gas mainly containing helium, which is effective for the treatment of diving disease.
