2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in order to produce scent, first of all, fine powder of Chinese herb spice is mixed with glue powder, which is mixed well, and water is added little by little using a crusher, a kneader, etc. Knead thoroughly to make a clay-like material. Next, the obtained clay-like material is extruded with an extruder to form a linear object and then cut into a predetermined length, or alternatively, the clay-like object is flattened and then removed by a die with a predetermined shape. Make a predetermined shape. And finally, using a drying room where the humidity is gradually reduced, it takes several days to several tens of days to dry the processed clay-like material while moving it from the higher humidity to the lower humidity one by one. Or dry using sun, vacuum, hot air or the like.

However, since the scent produced in this manner has a deformed processing shape (for example, warping, bending, cracking, chipping, breaking, etc.) due to drying after processing, the product yield is high. Is in a situation of decreasing.
For example, even if it is dried by various drying methods under conditions where the temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure or air volume is appropriately controlled, about 10 to 20%, and sometimes about 30%, is deformed.

Since Chinese herbal spice fine powder is a crushed product of natural fragrant wood, even if it is finely crushed, its particle size is limited, and in addition, it has water absorbability itself, so that it is a well kneaded clay. Uses a significant amount of water to make the mass. When the processed clay-like material is dried, a large amount of water evaporates, which is presumed to cause deformation such as cracking, warping, and bending. If a small amount of water is used for kneading in order to prevent deformation, sufficient kneading cannot be performed, and the proper shape of the molded product cannot be maintained regardless of whether it is processed by an extruder or a die.

Therefore, since the conventional manufacturing method requires a drying step, the above deformation is unavoidable, and there is a problem that the shape after manufacturing is not constant and the dimensional accuracy is low. In addition, a person who uses these may feel anxiety or discomfort because the shape of the scent is slightly different. In addition, the above method is not aesthetically preferable because the surface of the resulting fragrance is rough and rough because the clay-like material is dried. Moreover, when the scents come into contact with each other, the rough portion is scraped off and powder is generated. Further, the above-mentioned method has a large number of steps, so that there is a problem that it takes a long time to manufacture.

Examples of the binder to be added to the mixture of Chinese herbal fine powder and excipients include pastes such as hydroxypropyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose and starch paste. The addition of the binder is preferably carried out by spraying a solution of the binder onto the mixture being granulated. For example, in order to uniformly attach the binder to the particle surface of the mixture, it is preferable to intermittently perform granulation while performing spraying several times. In order to attach the binder to the surface of the particles, it is preferable to repeatedly spray the binder solution and dry the particles. For such an operation, it is preferable to use a centrifugal granulator or a fluidized bed granulator. Further, although the obtained granulated product can be molded as it is, it is preferable to pass it through a mesh screen for sizing. Granules need to be uniformly filled in incense-shaped, spiral-shaped or complicated-shaped molds, and the grain size of the granules is 1 in order to clearly show complicated patterns.

According to the present invention, the granule particles obtained from the mixture of the Chinese herb powder and the excipient have a binder adhered between the particles, so that the particle size, repose angle or ratio of the particles can be improved. By controlling physical properties such as volume and then filling the mold with a desired shape and compression-molding, a scent of the desired shape is obtained. In this way, since the long-term drying is not required and the number of steps is small, the scent can be produced in a short time. In addition, since the scent is produced by compression molding, the scent surface is rough and not glossy, and conversely gloss is produced, which is aesthetically preferable.

Reference Example 1 (conventional method) Chinese herbal spice fine powder 15 g, tab powder 9.49 g, CMC 4.1
While mixing g and mixing in a mortar, 39 ml of water is added little by little, and the whole is kneaded to obtain a clay-like material. This was pressed into a disk-shaped die having a diameter of 20 mm and a thickness of 5 mm to obtain a molded product. 10 moldings obtained (diameter 20.25m
m, thickness 5.22 mm, both of which are average values) were allowed to stand in a dryer under an atmosphere of 40 ° C. for 24 hours. The average diameter was 6.3% (0.25 mm) and the average thickness was 1%.
Shrinkage of 1.1% (0.22 mm) was observed. In addition, all molded products were deformed such as warped and bent, and cracks occurred in about 40%.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, the Chinese herb powder and the excipient are mixed and granulated, and the binder is added, so that the binder is adhered between the particles of the powder. Since it is dried, the granulated product can be compression-molded to produce a scent of any shape. Since the method does not require long-time drying and has a small number of steps, it is possible to produce a scent in a short time. Moreover, it is possible to provide a scent that does not deform due to drying and has a good appearance.
