CONSTITUTION:This gear box has a monitor microphone 1 which is provided in a gear box housing 2 and detects the noises in the housing 2, an adaptive filter 6 which is inputted with signals from the microphone 1 and successively corrects the coeffts. thereof and a piezoelectric element actuator 3 which is inputted with the output of the filter 6 via an amplifier 4 from the filter and vibrates the wall surface of the housing 2. The noises generated in the gear box by the vibrations generated by the piezoelectric element actuator 3 are thereby suppressed and the noise level is therefore lowered without entailing the weight increase.
