Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a circuit breaker with high reliability capable of increasing the safety of auxiliary device installing work by performing an auto-trip when an auxiliary cover is opened. CONSTITUTION:A circuit breaker is provided with a breaker case 1 composed of a base 1a and a main cover 1b fixed to the base 1a and also containing a breaking mechanism, a recess formed on a face 101 opposite to the base 1a of the main cover 1b so as to contain the auxiliary device of the breaking mechanism, and an auxiliary cover 4 fitted to the main cover 1b so as to block the recess. When the auxiliary cover 4 is opened, the breaking mechanism performs an auto-trip.
