【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、原稿から読み取った画像の内、領域指定され

本発明の目的は、複数の領域指定色で指定された領域が
重複した場合にその領域を何れかの領域として確認でき

は原稿読取装置であり、読取光源により照射された原稿
の像をCCD等のイメージセンサで読み取って、A/D変換、
シエーディング補正、色分離、カラーゴースト補正、MT
F補正等の処理を行う。そして、原稿に予め書き込まれ
たN色の領域指定色と原稿色とを合わせたN+1の色を
弁別して、それぞれの色信号P0、P1、…、PNを出力す

指定色で指定した領域が重複されることになり、重複す
る領域をいずれの領域として取り出すかを決めなければ
ならないが、この処理は領域処理回路3において行われ

が行われない場合には予め設定した優先順位を使用する
