Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of bolts and enhance the construction property of a column base structure. CONSTITUTION:Four our base metal fittings 2 are used and each connected to an anchor bolt 13, together with a base plate 11; i.e., the four base metal fittings 2, each comprising two perpendicularly crossing side plate portions 2a, 2b and a bottom plate portion 2c, are disposed at each internal angle portion formed by both of flanges 1a and a web 1b at the lower end of a column 1 made of H-shape steel. The base metal fittings 2 are connected to the flanges 1a and web 1b of the column 1 by bolts 6, 8 and are placed on the base plate 11 being laid on a foundation 10.
