【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 複写機、プリンタなどの画像形成装置の
画像形成部に用紙を給紙する給紙装置で、給紙方向前後
に配置され用紙を収納する少なくとも第1,第2の収納
部を併設した給紙装置において、 前記給紙方向前方に設けた第1の収納部の用紙を前記画
像形成部へ給紙する第1の給紙経路と給紙手段とを設け
るとともに、 前記給紙方向後方に設けた第2の収納部の用紙を前記第
1の収納部の給紙手段に給紙する第2の給紙経路を備
え、 前記第2の収納部の用紙を前記第1の収納部の給紙手段
により前記第1の給紙経路を介し前記画像形成部へ給紙
するようにしたことを特徴とする給紙装置。
