Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a method for coiling a strip capable of suitably preventing decomposition of the strip by heat radiation at the tip part in coiling of a hot strip without complicating the equipment for a coiling device, making its cost high and lowering the productivity of a line. CONSTITUTION:When the tip part is heated before the strip is coiled through a simple structure provided with a heating device for the strip at the front step of the coiling device so that a heating value taken by the coiling device out of the tip part of the strip is compensated, uniform temperature extends to the whole strip though heat is taken by the coiling device out of the tip part. Consequently, decomposition of the tip part can be prevented suitably in coiling of the hot strip without compricating the equipment of the coiling device, making its cost high and lowering the productivity of the line.

にしていた。

加熱することにより、始端部分から巻取装置に熱が奪わ
れてもストリップ全体が均一な温度となる。従って、巻
取装置の設備の複雑化、コストの高騰化及びライン生産
性の低下を伴うことなく熱間ストリップの巻取時に於け
る始端部分の変質を好適に防止し得る。以上のことから
本発明の効果は大である。
