The present invention relates to a low-cost connector terminal 1 with a carrier that can be separated with a slight force (shearing force), does not cause assembly troubles in a later process, and does not generate extra waste.

Conventionally, when the connector terminal 2'is pressed by a progressive die, a carrier (joint) 8'having a structure as shown in FIG. 3A is provided in order to prevent the terminal from breaking. This carrier 8'is formed by pressing the joint between the terminal and the carrier lead 9'to separate it from the connector terminal 2'which will be a product later. ′ Was needed. 'When the separating cut, the carrier 8' connector terminal 1 with a carrier and 'connector terminal 2 and' lead 9 is as shown in FIG. 3 (b). When separating and cutting, in order to protect the side surface of the terminal from cutting, cut at a position slightly away from the side surface of the terminal. Also, the lead 9'is cut at a position apart from the lead side surface. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3B, minute protrusions 10 'and 11' are left on the side surface of the terminal on the connector terminal side and the lead side. These projections 10 'and 11' often cause troubles such as difficulty in insertion or insufficient insertion during the assembly process of inserting and holding the terminal in the housing. Further, if the distance between the terminals 2 is narrowed as the pitch becomes narrower, the gap 12 'between the minute protrusions may be an obstacle to the pitch narrowing, which may be an obstacle. Further, the necessary gap 12 'between the terminal and the lead on the carrier side becomes a completely extra waste as a press material. In other words, the gap width × the width of the pressed material × the thickness of the pressed material is thrown away as extra waste, which increases the cost of the terminal.

In order to solve these drawbacks, the present invention has been earnestly studied, and as a result, the connector terminal 1 with a carrier that can be separated with a slight force without any extra waste in the gap 12 'or assembling troubles in the subsequent process. It is provided for the purpose of providing, and the gist of it is, firstly, that the joint portion between the carrier 8 and the connector terminal 2 is separated by the half cut portion 5 and the connecting portion 6 provided therebelow. It is a connector terminal with a carrier characterized by consisting of. Secondly, since the joint portion between the carrier 8 and the connector terminal 2 is composed of the notch portion 7 for separating and the connecting portion 6 provided therebelow, the connector terminal 1 with a carrier is provided. It is possible to separate them by applying a slight force to the half cut portion 5 and the notch portion 7.
