Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an insert molded article having a shape, by which molding material is prevented from running out to the outer periphery side of the annular bent part at the outer periphery of an insert member such as metal ring or the like. CONSTITUTION:In the insert molded article concerned, the edge face 9 of molding material part 7 bonding to the inner periphery side of a metal ring 3 is made to slope from the tip of an annular bent part 5 radially inward so as to gradually get close to the main body part 4 side of the metal ring so as to close a mold under the condition that the comonent force of mold closing pressure acts to the annular bent part 5 to open it in order to seal the contact surface between the annular bent part 5 and the inner periphery of an annular wall 16 by pressing the tip of the annular bent part 5 against the inner periphery of the annular wall 16 of a first mold 12, resulting in preventing molding material from running out to the outer peripheral surface 6 side of the annular bent part 5.

2. Description of the Related Art As a conventional insert molded product, there is an oil seal 100 as shown in FIG. 5, for example. The oil seal 100 is a so-called outer peripheral metal type, and is constructed by embedding a metal ring 102 as an insert member in a molded product body 101 to be molded. , This metal ring body 1
It is constituted by an annular bent portion 104 which is bent from the outer periphery of 03 in a tubular shape substantially at right angles to the metal ring main body portion 103. Then, the molded product main body 101 is joined only to the inner peripheral surface side of the outer peripheral surface and the inner peripheral surface of the annular bent portion 104 so that the metal surface is exposed on the outer peripheral surface 105. The end surface 107 of the molded product body 101 joined to the inner peripheral surface of the annular bent portion 104 is flush with the tip surface 108 of the annular bent portion 104.

However, in the case of the above-mentioned prior art, the end surface 1 of the molded product body 101 joined to the distal end surface 108 of the annular bent portion and the inner circumference of the annular bent portion 104.
07 are flush with each other, and the end surface 114 of the annular wall 112 of the first mold 109 and the second surface of the first mold 109, which are in contact with each other when the mold is closed.
Tip surface 10 of the annular bending portion of the metal ring 102 of the mold 110
Since the close end face 115 that is in close contact with 8 is flush, the metal ring 1
There was a problem that the molding material leaked easily because a gap was formed in the close contact portion due to the variation in the width dimension of the annular bent portion 104 of No. 02 and the waviness in the circumferential direction. Therefore, a post-process such as burr removal is required, and there is a problem that productivity is poor.

The joint surface of the metal ring body 103 with the mounting surface 111 is arbitrary between the inner diameter end and the outer diameter end of the metal ring body 103 as shown in FIG. Because of the large size, the leakage of the molding material on the mounting surface 111 side of the metal ring 102 does not occur.

Further, an insert member composed of an insert main body portion and an annular bent portion which is bent from the outer periphery of the insert main body portion into a tubular shape substantially at right angles to the insert main body portion is prepared, and a pair of openable and closable members are provided. The mold is opened, the insert body is placed on the placement surface provided in one of the first molds, and the outer circumference of the annular bending portion is fitted to the inner circumference of the annular wall. Insert molding in which the mold is closed and the second mold is brought into close contact with the tip of the annular bent portion on the outer periphery of the insert member to fill the inner peripheral side of the annular bent portion of the insert member with a molding material to form an insert molded article of a predetermined shape. In the method of manufacturing a product, when the mold is closed, the component force of the mold closing pressure is applied in the opening direction of the annular bending portion to close the die, and the tip of the annular bending portion is pressed against the inner circumference of the annular wall of the first die to form an annular bending. Section and inner circumference of the annular wall To characterized in that sealing between.

In the insert-molded product having the above-described structure, the end surface of the molded-product body is an inclined surface that is gradually inclined inward from the tip of the annular bending portion toward the insert body. Therefore, due to this inclined surface, the component force of the mold closing pressure acts in the direction in which the annular bending portion opens when the mold is closed, and the contact surface pressure between the tip of the annular bending portion and the inner circumference of the annular wall of the first die is increased. As a result, the molding material is prevented from wrapping around to the outer peripheral side of the annular bent portion.

When the molding die 11 is closed, the close-contact end surface 17 of the second die 14 gradually protrudes inward in the radial direction from the tip of the annular bending portion 5 and approaches the first die 12. Since the inclined surface is inclined in the direction, the component force of the mold closing pressure acts in the direction in which the tip of the annular bending portion 5 opens when the mold is closed, and the tip end of the annular bending portion 5 and the first mold are closed. The contact surface pressure of 12 with the inner circumference of the annular wall 16 increases, and the wraparound of the molding material toward the outer peripheral surface 6 of the annular bent portion 5 is prevented.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION The present invention has the above-mentioned structure and action, and the end surface of the molded product body is gradually inclined inward in the radial direction from the tip of the annular bending portion toward the insert body portion. Since it is an inclined surface, the component force of the mold closing pressure can be applied to the opening direction of the annular bending portion when the mold is closed by this inclined surface, and the tip of the annular bending portion comes into contact with the inner circumference of the annular wall of the first die. It is possible to prevent the molding material from wrapping around to the outer peripheral side of the annular bending portion due to an increase in surface pressure, and it is possible to reduce molding defects.

Further, since it is possible to reduce the flash removing step that wraps around the outer circumference of the annular bending portion as in the conventional case, it is possible to reduce the number of molding steps and improve workability and productivity.
