In recent years, it has been used for containers such as beverage bottles.
However, since ultraviolet rays also pass through, if used as a beverage bottle as is, the beverage inside the bottle will deteriorate. Therefore, in JP-A-58-160268,
Organic ultraviolet absorbers are added to prevent deterioration, but organic ultraviolet absorbers have poor weather resistance and have problems such as bleeding. In order to solve this problem, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 55-50055 proposes adding iron oxide having a composition of Fe 2 O 3 .xH 2 O to PET.

Changes were becoming a major problem. Further, the iron oxide Fe 2 O 3 .xH 2 O disclosed in JP-A-55-50055 contains crystal water and therefore has very poor thermal stability.

As a result of various studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventor has developed a method characterized by adding spherical iron oxide with a hematite structure to PET resin.
We have now provided a PET resin coloring composition.

0.01-0.1 μm is preferable. If the particle size exceeds 0.1 μm, transparency will be poor, and if the particle size is less than 0.01 μm, problems will arise in dispersibility. Further, the amount of spherical iron oxide added to 100 parts by weight of PET resin is preferably 0.001 to 1.0 parts by weight. This is because if it is less than 0.001 part by weight, the ultraviolet absorption ability will be poor, and if it exceeds 1.0 part by weight, the transparency of the PET resin will deteriorate.
