[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention is a kanji system that converts a kana character string input from a keyboard into a desired kanji-kana mixed sentence by searching a kana-kanji conversion dictionary in a storage device based on the reading. This invention relates to a kana-containing sentence input device.

Traditionally, a kana character string is input on the keyboard, and then when a specific key, for example a conversion key, is pressed, the kana character string input up to that point is used as the reading, and the kana character string in the storage device is converted into a kanji-kana mixture. Search a kana-kanji dictionary to convert it to a string,
There is a device that converts the kanji into kanji and creates sentences containing kanji and kana. Generally, there are a plurality of homophones (conversion candidates) whose reading is one kana character string, and it is necessary to select and instruct a desired word from among the conversion candidates. Therefore, in the so-called successive conversion method, in which the inputter looks at the display screen every time a conversion is instructed and confirms whether it is the desired kanji, the inputter is forced to interrupt his or her thinking and is forced to read the original. When continuously inputting text based on the original text, there is a drawback that the user must interrupt the operation because the user's line of sight must alternate between the original and the display screen.

The invention described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 58-56068 is
To solve this problem, in the input mode, the input reading string is memorized as is without converting it to kana-kanji, and in the correction mode, a specified range of the reading string is specified and the document is converted to kana-kanji. We are proposing an editing device. However, this document editing device is cumbersome to operate because it requires specifying the first and last characters of the reading character string to be converted into kana-kanji, and what to do when an error in the input reading characters is discovered in the correction mode. No method has been proposed.

In addition, the invention described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 57-132272 proposes a character processing device that retains a reading character string even after the kana-kanji conversion process and can continue to use this reading character string. There is. However, no concrete proposals have been made regarding the order in which this character string should be extracted, how it should be processed (corrected, added or deleted), and how it should be converted into kana-kanji.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] With the above-mentioned conventional device, it is troublesome to operate the reading character string during the kana-kanji conversion process, and it is not possible to correct or add or delete the target reading character string, so it is difficult to input. The degree of freedom in the conversion process is limited, and the confirmation process operation is performed every time a selection is made, making it difficult to improve operability.

FIG. 2 shows the flow of kana-kanji conversion input using the sequential selection method. Key data input from the keyboard 1 is stored in an input key register 2, and control is determined depending on the contents of the input key. When a character key is input, the input characters are read and sequentially stored in the character memory 4, and the next key input is accepted. Then, when the conversion key is input, the kana-kanji conversion dictionary 7 is searched and converted into a character string containing kanji and kana according to the contents of the reading character memory 4 that have been stored up to that point.

Here, the conversion results including the homophones are set in the conversion candidate memory 8, and the first conversion candidate is temporarily stored in the document memory 9. The inputter confirms this on the display screen 19, and if the conversion candidate is the desired one, inputs the next reading character to store the conversion candidate in the document memory 9 as a confirmed character string containing kanji and kana. After that, the input of the corresponding reading character is continuously accepted.

(1) When the pronunciation character string is incorrect When the no-conversion key is input, the provisional conversion character string is deleted from the document memory 9 and the conversion candidate memory 8 is also cleared. Then, the user returns to the reading character input state, deletes the incorrect reading character by, for example, using the backward key, and then inputs the correct reading character string again.

(2) When a different homophone is desired, the temporary conversion character string is changed to the second or subsequent conversion candidate by inputting the conversion key again. Note that if the desired character string is not converted into the desired kanji-kana character string, this is because the corresponding word is not registered in the kana-kanji dictionary, and the reading character string cannot be converted by inputting the non-conversion key as described in the previous section. The desired kanji and kana mixed sentences are obtained by subdividing and converting each kanji character at a time.

During batch input, as shown in FIG. The kanji conversion dictionary 7 is searched and converted into a character string containing kanji and kana, and the first conversion candidate at that time is stored in the document memory 9 as a provisional conversion character string, and the position information of the provisional conversion character string in the document memory 9 is stored. is stored in the temporary converted character string document position memory 12, and the next reading input is accepted.

At the time of batch selection, as shown in FIG. 4, the reading is restored to the reading character memory 4 from the beginning of the reading save memory 11, and the temporary converted character string is extracted by the temporary converted character string document position memory 12. When the inputter confirms the provisional converted character string on the display screen 19 and recognizes that it has been correctly converted to the desired kanji/kana character string, presses the confirm key to confirm the provisional converted character string. Store it in the document memory 9 as a character string,
The corresponding reading save memory 11 and temporary converted character string document position memory 12 are cleared, and the process moves to confirmation of the next temporary converted character string.

At this time, the conversion candidate memory 8 is a memory that temporarily stores conversion candidates for the reading character memory 4, and at the time of batch selection, it stores conversion candidates for a new reading. Therefore, the contents from the time of batch input to the time of batch selection are not stored or retained. In addition, for the kana-kanji character string whose reading has been restored from the reading save memory 11 to the reading character memory 4, the reading stored in the reading save memory 11 and the position of the provisionally converted character string in the document memory 9 are temporarily converted. It can be obtained by storing the character strings in correspondence with each other in the character string document position memory 12.

On the other hand, if it is not the desired kanji-kana mixed sentence, the contents of the reading character memory 4 are displayed on the display screen 19 by pressing the correction key, and then other conversion candidates are selected in exactly the same way as the sequential selection method. Control then moves to selection or correction of reading characters. The converted character strings at this time are all stored in the primary character string memory 14, and when the confirm key is pressed, the provisional converted character string and the contents of the primary character string memory 14 are replaced and stored in the document memory 9 as a confirmed character string. Therefore, the temporary character string can be created without being restricted by batch input using the batch selection method, so it is possible not only to change conversion candidates or correct the reading character string, but also to add and delete words. After the character string is determined, the corresponding reading save memory 11 and provisional converted character string document position memory 12 are cleared, and the process moves on to confirming the next provisional converted character string. When the number of characters increases or decreases using the above method, the memory location information is increased or decreased by the number of characters that have changed and is used as new memory location information to create the desired sentence containing kana and kanji. can be created.

As described above, the present invention sequentially stores provisional kana-kanji converted reading strings that have been temporarily converted into kana-kanji characters during batch input using the batch selection method, starting from the beginning of the reading save memory that stores the provisional kana-kanji converted reading strings. Since it can be restored to the reading character memory, the restoration operation is easy, and it is also possible to change the conversion candidates of the restored provisional kana-kanji conversion reading character string, correct the reading character string, and add or delete the input character string. The degree of freedom in the conversion process is increased, and furthermore, if all the provisional converted character strings match the desired kanji/kana mixed character string, they can be finalized all at once, making it easier for inputters to perform operations. can be simplified.
