In this kind of conventional tape cassette, for example, as shown in Fig. 1, the position and number of holes are selected in the corner of the back side of the shell 1 depending on the type of internal magnetic tape T, whether recording can be erased, etc. A plurality of identification holes 2 are provided, and when this tape cassette is loaded into a deck (not shown), the identification holes 2 formed among the plurality of detection pins provided on the deck side are provided.
The pins corresponding to the pins enter into the identification hole 2, and the type of magnetic tape T is detected based on their position and number, and the bias and equalizer are automatically switched, and whether erasing is possible or not is detected and, for example, the record button is pressed. It was constructed in such a way that it could not be pressed and would flop. However, the method of opening the identification hole 2 in this tape cassette is, for example, as shown in FIG.
There is a method in which a lid 3 is provided continuous with the identification hole 2 and integrated with the lower shell 1a, and the lid 3 is punched inward after the cassette is assembled, but in this case, the lid 3 remains inside the shell 1. Therefore, there was a risk that the running of the magnetic tape T would be hindered. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, for example, as shown in FIG. It has been proposed that after assembling the cassette, the lid 3 is punched inward and pushed into the cavity 4. However, in this case, when the tape cassette is loaded into the deck, the lid 3 falls out of the cavity 4 and falls into the deck. There was a risk that it could get inside the deck and interfere with the operation of the internal materials of the deck.

The present invention solves the above problems and provides a tape in which the lid does not enter into the shell 1 or the deck even when the identification hole is opened, and does not interfere with the running of the magnetic tape or the operation of the internal materials of the deck. The purpose is to provide cassettes.

A lid is formed integrally with the shell through a thin part so as to close the identification hole, and a hollow part is carved inward of the lid and has a locking part protruding from the inner surface. The identification hole is punched out and pushed into the inner part of the hollow portion beyond the locking portion so that the lid is locked by the locking portion.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail based on the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, with the same members as those in the second conventional example described above being given the same reference numerals. It is formed integrally with the lower shell 1a via the thin portion 3a. Further, on the inner surface of the cavity 4 carved inwardly of the lid 3, a protruding locking portion 5 is provided.
is formed integrally with the lower shell 1a.
Therefore, in order to open the identification hole 2, if the lid 3 is punched inward and pushed into the inner part of the cavity 4 beyond the protruding locking part 5, the lid 3 will be locked by the protruding locking part 5. This prevents it from falling out (Figure 4B). Therefore, when the tape cassette is loaded into the deck, the lid 3 will not get into the deck, and there will be no possibility of interfering with the operation of the internal members of the deck. Of course, the lid 3 will not get into the shell 1, and there will be no possibility of interfering with the running of the magnetic tape. The thickness of the thin portion 3a is set to such an extent that it cannot be broken by the pushing force of the detection pin on the deck side, but can be broken by hand using a suitable push rod or the like. As a countermeasure against re-opening after punching the lid 3 inward and opening the identification hole 2, for example, a stopper 7 shown in FIG. 5 may be provided as an accessory. The stopper 7 has a claw part 7a that engages with the locking part 5, and also has a groove 7b that provides compressibility and is suitable for applying a hook-like rod when removing the stopper, so that it can be reliably re-opened. Suitable. As described above, in the tape cassette according to the present invention, even if the lid is punched inward and an identification hole is punched, the lid does not penetrate into the shell or the deck, which interferes with the running of the magnetic tape and the operation of the internal materials of the deck. do not have. Furthermore, since the lid is integrated with the shell during molding, it is advantageous from a manufacturing standpoint. In addition,
Re-closing of the identification hole after it has been opened can also be carried out reliably by using a plug as shown in FIG.
